Mister Soda Pops is a bit of a hidden gem in Penndel, located along the main drag through town, that sells a great variety of "craft" sodas. I say it's hidden as it's off US 1 or I-95/I-295 in the area between Philly and Trenton so the casual person might pass this place by. However, it's definitely worth a visit. They carry sodas from across most of the country and in a great variety of flavors. There's your standards of cola, cherry cola, orange soda, etc. and then they have the very exotic or bizarre flavors available as well. It's a good place for me to stock up on sodas from Missouri like Ozark Mountain (which strangely my folks can't find in around Branson where it's bottled). They also carry one of my personal favorites, Ski which is usually only found in Southern Illinois or parts of Central Kentucky as well as Ale81 (I wonder if they will start carrying the blackberry flavor as that's now a regular flavor). They also carry various snacks and sweets as well as some drinking glasses in the store (the latter are towards the back of the store). Definitely pick up a cart or basket as you might need some room in your arms to pick up all the different sodas and treats here. It's definitely feels like a retro-styled shop and you can easily see the whole store as they don't feature tall tall shelving. The prices are overall reasonable, though I do have one caveat for that. For someone in the Philly area who might not experience many of the regional sodas they carry here, the prices are good for an occasional treat. However, if you're someone like me who both travels long-distance to see family and has lived in areas where some of these sodas are native, they are pricey compared to what they are sold for in their native markets. That said, if I need a fix of Ski or Ale81 and I'm not going to be in Southern Illinois or the Lexington, KY area for a long while, I will stop here to pick up a couple bottles. Mister Soda Pops is a great place to try different varieties of craft soda and support a...
Read moreGreat and unique place that is 100% worth checking out if you like craft sodas. Stumbled upon this place while searching for stores that sell craft soda and this place has a huge selection. There are so many different flavors of soda that it can be overwhelming, but all you have to do is walk around for a while and see what catches your eye. A 6 pack cost me $15 for those wondering. Thats a good price for the cool and interesting sodas you can find here. There are so many and it’s almost impossible to choose at first. Definitely try a Bubble Up, they’re really good.
The employee that was working while we were there was really nice, helpful and knowledgeable. You feel at home and not pressured or rushed in here, you can take your time and look as long as you need cuz again there’s a lot of options here.
There’s also candy from different countries, jerky , snacks, hot sauce … something for everyone.
I highly recommend this place and it’s worth going back to because there is SO MUCH to try.
It’s an hour drive for me but totally worth it. 5/5, nice gem of a store. Unlike any store I have come across. It really opened my eyes to how many delicious flavors of soda there are out there , and how many companies there are that...
Read moreBeware of stale candy! I purchased three candy bars from here-including one for my Mom right before Halloween. Hers was hard as a rock. She called them about it (she was not out for a money grab and pretty much said so) and was rudely told that I must have found one that was "shoved in the back." No sir, I got it from a display box full like all the rest. Granted, they did offer to give her another candy bar, but considering they must have a high overhead, I'm sure they don't rotate their stock as they don't want to lose all that money, so who knows what the replacement would be. No, I...
