Sticky floors, broken toilets, no hand soap. They bring in interesting acts worth seeing if you can deal with their overzealous security team with out issues. I attended during Pensacon as a VIP. The other bar-5 1/2 closed early with a sign on the door "Private VIP Pensacon party." The doorman let me with my VIP badge, but it turned out the party was for a private function, that staff mis-labeled the sign on door. As soon as I realized it was a private event, not a VIP Pensacon event, I left and returned to the my friends gathered in the smoking alley. Curtis, their main security guy, Ive known for years approached me asking me to leave the premises because I entered the mis-labeled private party. Realizing this was an over reaction by staff, I asked why I was being asked to leave? I explained to him about the misunderstanding and that I would not be going back in, Curtis replied I was "Too Old" to be there and I should leave now. Being a business professional surrounded by other business professionals I recorded the exchange realizing this is a teaching moment my professional friends could use for what not to do, aka customer service. One of my friends with me that night that witnessed it, shows the video during employee orientation and employees are told this is not how you handle customer service. To add further insult, after leaving then venue and having dinner elsewhere, I discovered Vinyl towed my car that was parked out front at a metered parking spot. Yeah, it's illegal to do that too. Don't wear nice clothing here. Wear something you can easily wash. The drink prices are vet high so pre drink at hijacks. Don't bring anyone that can't stand for a long time. Also that means don't wear high heels. Often when you use the outside bathroom its filled with pot smoke so don't use that bathroom if you get drug tested. Don't go with a friend that might be lively because their security steroid acting staff randomly will pull people out from the crowd. Its best to go plan on drinking water wearing old clothes keep your head down not to attract the security attention. In summary: Dirty sticky floors, broken toilets in the ladies room with no hand soap, poorly trained staff and egotistical managers and very expensive bad cocktails without seating. The band had better...
Read moreHighly disappointed with the whole experience Saturday night at Inferno Burlesque show. We ordered $60 front row tickets that included a cocktail server, several weeks ago when they went on sale. We arrived at the venue, the line moved fairly slow, luckily the awning shielded us from the rain. When the doorman scanned our tickets we were told all the front row seats were taken but we could sit beside the stage. So we took our seats, that had $15 general admission people standing directly behind us breathing over us and kicking the chair legs and reaching past me to sit their empty cups and cans on our table as if it were a trashcan. We never had a server come to check on us and had to go to the bar to get drinks, so we decided to just get water since the server never showed up that was suppose to be included in the ticket price. The show was okay but not what I expected. The venue is much smaller and not nearly as nice as I had anticipated. The bathrooms do have plenty of stalls so the only wait was to use one of the 2 sinks. I feel like I should receive a refund for at least part of the ticket price considering we did not get what we paid for at all! No front row, no server. Also one of the performers slung her glove off the stage in front of me, when she finished her performance I promptly tossed the glove back on the stage and the person picking up costumes and tips retrieved it, only to have the dancer and 2 other people come out at separate times to ask/accuse me of keeping the glove!! It was an annoying experience overall.
**I have been contacted by the venue. Once the issue is resolved I will reevaluate based on customer...
Read moreWell I wish I could say I had a great experience here given that prior visits were great. Unbeknownst to me my ID expired and when I was trying to go to an event with my boyfriend and his family so I was denied access. Totally understandable except the events manager (I believe that was the managers title) was completely rude and shoved us out of the line. Even shoved past my boyfriend in front of me to check my ID first. I don't drink. I didn't plan on drinking. I have an allergy. So I asked the woman selling the tickets if there was a way I could get in and not drink. She said yes. They could put an X on my hands showing underage. Totally fine with that. She follows us to the front and told the manager what she said and he said he wasn't doing that. That he didn't care what she said and he's not doing it. Even though it was apparently a acceptable thing they do according to her. Then he tried to intimidate my group and talk badly about me. Obviously my bf wouldn't put up with that so name calling ensued. The pic on my ID is very clearly me. I renewed recently and the new pic looks exactly the same. It's me on the ID. But I understood the legal rule. I understand not letting me in to drink. But even as an underage member was ridiculous. He was extremely vindictive and on a power trip. It was very evident he got off on it. My bfs parents paid for tickets that couldn't be used. Ridiculous staff and extremely rude behavior. Would love to go back for the preformers but won't because of the...
