I am writing this review with deep disappointment and a sense of betrayal after my recent experience at this halal market. My family and I have been customers for over two years, always trusting that the meat and chicken we purchased were not only halal but also prepared and cut in-house. We never questioned the integrity of their products because, up until now, we had no reason to. In fact, part of the reason we kept coming back was the peace of mind that comes with shopping at a halal market—knowing that our religious and dietary needs were being respected.
During my most recent visit, I asked for boneless chicken breasts, just as I have many times before. Normally, the staff would go to the back and return with freshly cut meat and place it in a plain bag. This time, however, I was handed a pre-packaged bag of chicken breasts from a brand I had never seen before: “House of Raeford" (see image). The employee who handed it to me seemed nervous and hesitant, which immediately made me suspicious. I thought it was odd because, in all our time shopping here, I had never received a branded, pre-packaged product like this.
When I got home, I decided to look up the brand. To my shock and dismay, I discovered that “House of Raeford” is not halal certified. I was absolutely stunned. How could a halal market give customers non-halal chicken? This made me question everything about their meat and chicken products, including what they serve in their buffet. If they are willing to sell non-halal chicken to trusting customers, how can we be sure about anything else they offer?
As a halal and Muslim market, they have a duty to their customers who rely on them for halal products. This is not just about food; it’s about trust, faith, and respect for religious practices. By selling non-halal chicken, they have done a huge disservice to the entire community. I feel obligated to share my experience because other customers deserve to know the truth and make informed choices about where they shop.
I will never purchase any meat or chicken from this market again. My trust has been completely broken, and I urge others to be cautious. This is a serious matter, and I hope the management takes immediate action to restore integrity and transparency for the sake of all...

I recently visited ASR, and I must say that it offers an exceptional shopping experience for those in search of quality food and groceries. The store is well-organized, making it easy to navigate through the various sections, from fresh produce to household essentials. The cleanliness of the store is commendable, with aisles that are always well-stocked and free of clutter.
One of the standout features of ASR is the quality of its produce. The fruits and vegetables are always fresh, vibrant, and reasonably priced. The bakery section is equally impressive, offering a wide variety of freshly baked goods that cater to diverse tastes. Their selection of organic and specialty items is also noteworthy, ensuring that customers with specific dietary needs can find what they’re looking for.
The staff at ASR are courteous and always ready to assist with any inquiries or special requests. Their knowledge of the products and willingness to help makes the shopping experience even more enjoyable. The checkout process is efficient, with multiple lanes open to minimize wait times, and the self-checkout option is a convenient feature for those in a hurry.
Additionally, ASR offers a loyalty program that provides regular customers with discounts and special offers, which is a nice perk for those who shop frequently. The store’s commitment to sustainability is also evident in their use of eco-friendly packaging and efforts to reduce waste.
Overall, ASR is a reliable and customer-focused supermarket that I highly recommend. Whether you’re doing your weekly grocery run or just picking up a few items, you’ll find a wide selection of quality products, competitive prices, and excellent...
Read moreWe went there for the first time about three months ago; at that time, they were chaotic because of rearranging/restocking. As we visit often, we noticed parking is a problem during busy/rush hours, and sometimes buffet food is inconsistent; some were too salty, and some were tasteless and dry. One thing that gave me doubt was the tiramisu cake. I believe there is alcohol added to it because I have known the difference between alcohol and non-alcohol tiramisu since I took shahada ten years ago; halal tiramisu does not taste strong but is delicious. This tiramisu had a strong, familiar taste of alcohol in it, not the coffee that gives off a strong flavor; my husband didn't know because he was a born Muslim, so he didn't know what alcohol tasted like. I told him that I knew there was alcohol in it. The next visit, we asked the woman who packed the desserts, and she confirmed that there was no alcohol, but I didn't believe her words because I knew and was too familiar with it for years. There was a halal bakery that served tiramisu. I confirmed with my husband that there was no alcohol taste, and he noticed the big differences in taste; we tried the other halal bakeries and tried their tiramisu, and they were similar no alcohol tasting compared to this place. So, be careful when in doubt like I did;...
