Im not a person who likes to spent time on writing a review, and this is probably my 3rd one in 20 years of using internet.
Atmosphere is very pleasant, and makes you feel like you are from high society. Dark interior colors, furniture, decorations, glass walls combined with romantic music, makes you want to stay there as long as possible and just enjoy.
The food was pleasure. Me and my wife ordered Tuna tartar for appetizer, took them about 10 mins to prepare, and main dish ribeye steak and truffle pasta another 25 mins, what I think is pretty fast. In short, tartar was delicious, steak very soft and pasta so creamy. The kitchen team know what they doing, and how to make you satisfied. And as a fact they work behind a glass wall so people can see what they doing, and that can give them some stress because nobody likes when someone watching while you working, but they don’t seems even bothered by that, what can I say?! PRO TEAM.
The personal is looked young and well trained, nicely dressed and very friendly. The owner of the restaurant stopped by our table to make sure we are happy with service, as well as chef to make sure if food was delicious. Our waitress Jolie G. did a very good job, she made us feel welcome. She is polite, quick and always had smile. The dishes and glasses was clean without any fingerprints, which is the big plus. We noticed as soon as someone leaves the team is very quick to cleanup everything.
I was expecting the place to be full of people since it’s a Friday night but it wasn’t, not sure why. And also want to mention that they did not pack the restaurant with as much tables as possible compared to other restaurants, what gives you a room to walk freely without bothering others people. I like the rose and gas candles decorations on each table, but I would suggest you guys to replace with some scent candles since the gas one give a strange smell which is not very good to smell.
Our total bill is around $200. I will share a photo of receipt and food. The price might seem a little high, but this price is not just food it also everything I listed above.
To summarize everything, this is a family oriented restaurant that makes you want to bring your loved ones to experience delicious food, hight service, and great atmosphere. Hight level restaurant that would easily compete with any other from center city...
Read moreLa Superba, a new Italian restaurant in Philadelphia, lives up to its name. A friend and I went for lunch recently. It was the first time either of us had been there. (Cutting to the chase, before we left, we made a reservation to return for dinner with our husbands.) The interior is gorgeous! Fresh orchids and roses adorn the front desk and tables and everywhere we looked there was something sumptuous upon which to feast our eyes, from upscale furnishings to statues to ever changing framed art on a far wall. The kitchen is open and is a masterpiece of design. The bar is inviting. Even the silverware is beautiful. I fell in love with the knives and want them for my house. There is a private, and intimate party room that seats about 25, if my memory is correct. The food? Works of art and flavor! My friend and I both ordered salads which were not only unlike any others we’ve had - and we dine out often - but were so beautifully presented, it was almost a shame to dig into them. Fresh, crisp, a feast for the eyes and the palate. We lingered over coffee which delighted us because of its presentation. I don’t want to ruin all the surprises to which La Superba treats its guests, so I’ll leave this post prandial treat for you to discover on your own. The service was impeccable. Our waiter treated us as honored guests and, indeed, we were. My friend went to the ladies room, a place I would not normally mention in a review. But when she returned to the table exclaiming about it, I went to check it out. Pristine, with warm soap dispensers and individual hand towels. I highly recommend La Superba for its food, service, and ambience. I cannot...
Read moreWe made a reservation for our friend Birthday dinner. Yes, design and ambience is really nice, but everything else was less than desirable. I ordered a French 75 cocktail.in the menu it clear said that cocktail supposed to contain champagne. My first cocktail came completely flat, I asked to re do it. Second came with Prosecco. When our waiter asked if I want another one, I asked again that it would be made with champagne. At first I was told that it would be $20 more expensive ( on a top of $14 price), when I pointed to the menu and mentioned false advertisement, I was told that bar will not open a bottle of champagne for me🤯. Portions for appetizers are very small for the price charged. But our main course was a complete disaster. On a menu $37 salmon was described beautifully even with caviar. In reality it was overcooked, with bitter burned skin and literally 4 tiny drops of caviar. $50 steak was ok, but it didn’t even comes with a side?! I’m not sure how you could offer that kind of pricing for such a...
