I had one of the worst experiences with a previous loctician and it took me a while to find another one I could trust and believe in. Well Huny! My gf referred me to Ms. Qua and let me tell you, I’M HOOKED!!! I’m pretty sure I had gone about 2-3 months without a retwist and I wanted to add loc extensions to the hair I was growing out after shaving the sides about 10 months ago. I have known Bea (the owner) for 16 plus years. Her professionalism and kind demeanor is very much appreciated. She has stylists who specialize in services such as locs, braids, weaves, etc. I have had services such as eyebrow shaping, waxing, silk presses, rinses and hair dyeing. I've never left in tears as I have from other salons in the past. I have always left happy. She has and/or will be adding new services focusing long-wear lashes and brow tinting. Came in for a disappointing visit. Sent multiple pictures & even a video of my picced out hair to anticipate my appointment. Was supposed to get coil twists as I had five months of hair growth. My issue with LaQua is getting me to come all the way to the shop, completing a wash and blow-dry, ultimately to not finish the job. Gives me one twist small as a comma saying “These won’t hold because your curls are longer than I expected” women just keep an excuse. If the hair couldn’t be twisted, then why make the appointment?
