Planet Fitness — Attraction in Philadelphia

Service has always been polite in the location, but noticed back in February my account was still active after I cancelled over 2 years ago in person as requested by the company. The account it was tied to was used for all of our autopay bills, unfortunately let it slip by for a while. I was told I would have to fix it in person, which wasn't possible for me at that point, and then they were closed with COVID lock down.

Was recently charged again without any explicit notice because the club is open again? Feels unsafe, and frankly it would be riskier for others if I went in with my work situation. Lock down has understandably been a mess for every business, but this is the only thing that's somehow still costing me money.

Will update if I can get to a positive resolution, but they should have stopped charging me two years ago and are notorious for being extra unwilling about giving any kind of refund. I had been a member for years, unable to go for some time due to injury then work then injury but always hoped to go back until it became unfeasible. I finally made the cancel visit, but apparently to no avail. After already making it their mission to set up more hoops than any other gym I've dealt with to cancel, I want to make sure to at least warn others to stay on top of it when...

I'm never been to a gym where EVERYONE wipes down their machines. I don't know how new this place is, but, it is the cleanest gym I've been to in Philly. I also have a LA Fitness membership, and live 2 miles from an LA Fit. I'll go to PF 8 out of 10 times unless I want to swim or play basketball.

You know what is the most hilarious thing about the $70+/mth gyms? You can get a seaweed wrap, and towels and maybe laundry service- but NONE are 24 hrs. (that I know of). I have the $20 membership and it's the best $20 I'll spend all month, I absolutely promise you.

The people here are super regular. You won't find women in make up or guys in under armor field tech tactical mesh shirts. Lol... Great place to be a gym rat, and just sweat. If you want to get gorilla big, that will be a task- the only place to do a bench press is on the squat machine. Still, it's what I was looking for and I am in love so far.

I love going to the gym, I don't do classes, I don't do spotters- just loud earbuds and 2 hrs to get my mind right. If you want frills (racketball, basketball, pool, rock wall, etc.) not here. There are tvs in front of the cardio machines and super clean...

I was repeatedly treated badly by a particular staff member normally there evenings around 5 pm I asked her name she would not tell me. Skinny black girl best way I can describe her. She Is very rude and always makes it a huge issue and prolonged process just to set me up on a massage chair. She was ignoring me today and talking to her co worker as I was asking to use the massage chair. I said excuse me she looked as if she was upset that I interrupted her. She asked me to the sign the clipboard that she touched with her hand after I signed it she said can I write it nicer she can’t read that. As I started signing again, she told me not that Clip board the other one. This is not the first time, she always nit picking and bothering me and being difficult with out any reason. I am very upset, and would like something done about it. She refused to put the massage on. She’s extremely rude, unpleasant, unprofessional , not helpful at all.
