Somerton Jewelers — Attraction in Philadelphia

I brought in an Omega Seamaster that wasn't running around 1.5 months ago. They weren't sure if they could fix it and told me to leave it with them, promising to call me once they knew if they could work with it. I never got that call, and had to call the shop several times before I finally got an answer that yes, they could fix it, and it would take ~10 days or so. Once again, they promised to call me regarding the status of the watch and, once again, I never received that call.

The original ten days they quoted me turned into several weeks, with me constantly chasing them on the phone. Each time, I made them promise to call me with a firm day the watch would be done by. Each time, they failed to do so. (I should have picked up my watch at that point, frankly). I think, in total, I had a shop member promise to call me on at least 5 separate occasions and never once follow through.

Finally, I get a voicemail on 12/21 telling me my watch is done and I can come pick it up. I come to pick it up, and...it's not working. They tell me that they couldn't do anything with it AND THAT THEY HAD TOLD ME SO. I'm dumbfounded. I don't even know where to begin.

This shop held my watch for over a month even though (apparently) they knew they couldn't fix it.

People from the shop flat-out told me my watch was being worked on and even how much I owed them for the repair.

The time it took to "fix" (read: not fix) my watch was 3x longer than they originally estimated.

The only reason I am leaving two stars is because the people, once you actually speak to them, are very pleasant to deal with, and because they at least cleaned my watch. They seemed apologetic when I came in to collect my still-broken Omega, but that was negated by the fact that one of the guys at the front mentioned that they told me a while ago that they couldn't fix the watch (no, you did not. Just apologize; there is no need to lie.)

I see that many people had good experiences with this shop, so I'm really not sure what happened here, but it was extremely unprofessional and has permanently turned me off to doing any future...

Took my watch for battery , then I took my mom for a battery for her watch . My boyfriend needed a battery for his watch . Everyone was so nice & kind to us.
