This place was really awesome. Located on a military reserve base and OCS for the Army, it adds to the military feel. The tour guide was amazing and took his time explaining in detail each event and showcase as well as answering questions. Covers everything from the Spanish War and beyond to include Civil War, WWI, WWII, Operation Iraqi Freedom, etc. Teaches you about the rough riders, Navajo code talkers, blacks in the army, uniforms worn, the native Americans in the military, and a whole bunch more. Make sure to bring something to drink with you however, as I didn't see any vending machines or water fountains, however I could have just missed them. It is also not temperature controlled so it will be a little warm on the inside. It is handicap and wheelchair friendly.

Amazing museum with so much information! It is on a national guard base, you must show your driver's license and tell them you're going to the museum and they'll give you directions. The museum is completely free, however there are some donations and I definitely left a certain amount. It starts with displays of Arizona's history with wars, from the Mexican War (I think) to today. I mostly enjoyed the WW2 section, specifically the Japanese, which features a captured piece of artillery. There is also a Huey inside! I won't spoil it all, but it's so awesome. I definitely recommend this for those who are interested in history!

Pound for pound a fantastic military museum. Displays cover the Conquistador era to today. Most impressive displayed item: 1. Machine gun taken from Yamamoto's transport after the Yamamoto shoot down. (Operation Vengeance). 2. Runner up. A Huey gun ship. 3. In third place an actual Stoner 63 modular weapon system. Drop by - you won't regret it. (Museum accepts donations). The museum is located on the Papago Military Reservation. Consequently one can also see a F-16, A-7, M109,and Cobra displayed near the gate.

For a small museum, they effectively use the space and provide a great oversight of Arizona military history dating back to the westward expansion (and some before, as well). While it is a smaller museum, their collection is solid and can be followed through each military period. Friendly and helpful volunteers can provide assistance, as needed. Probably the last place that has a nice display about the "Great Papago Escape" by German WWII POWs since the city did not care for the camp and escape route in recent years. Facility is an old adobe building that was utilized by German POWs to repair vehicles, so it is, in itself, a historical facility, as well. Completely worth the...

I came here from Peoria(1 hour away) at 1, on a Saturday in spring break, when I arrived all the doors where closed, I stayed for 30 minutes waiting for someone to open the doors, I even called and it even said they where open on Saturday at 1. while I was waiting multiple parties of people came by looking to enter the musium and left because the place was apparently closed on a day and time that it says they are open. I came here because of how good it looked on the pictures, I didn't know the reason I wasn't going to see it was because no body showed up to open it up. Will not come back, don't feel like wasting my time and...
