If I can give this restaurant a zero or a negative rating I would. Rude owner, and horrible food. Let me explain. We walk in for the very first time. We're asked by the guy for here or to go. We said here and we're given to go menus and were told to seat ourselves. Okay, then we (my mother and I) order an iced tea and a water. Then chicken low main and pot stickers. Upsell is the owners game, which is fine. Do you want soup ($5.99 ea) do you want crab puff? ($8-9) keeps upselling and giving you large automatically. He got us in the soup, we said yes to egg drop soup. We get a cheap bottle of water that was $1.99 for the 24 case I'm sure, and a bottle of nasty Lipton green tea with that nasty fake sweetener. We didn't even touch those bottles even once. Soup came, I automatically put soy sauce and lots of pepper. On no table is there pepper, and we even ask...no pepper. That means they don't use any flavor. no garlic no spices, all food was flavorless. Huge red flag. We then get our horrible looking, tasting, smelling chicken low main and pot stickers. The dinner plate must be for children, the portions were the smallest I've ever seen. First glance pot stickers looked very pail but burn on one side. Put in pan and never turned once? And can tell no oil in pan. Who does that? They shouldn't be cooking. I at least tried it, one bite, I can then smell the smell of past it's prim pork, and the taste was nasty and rubbery. And the sauce it came with was soy sauce and vinegar. Nasty. Immediately turn my stomach. Didn't even want it near my mouth again. One bite of low main and weird orange color, but no flavor at all. I wanted out. But we ate our $12 worth of soup so my mom went to pay for what we ate and hands him the unopened bottles. He tells my mom $30 something dollars, she says we aren't paying for that horrible food and we didn't open our drinks. But we want to pay for the soups. He YELLS at my mom, GET THE HELL YOU THEN! Continues with YO MAMA! Well, she is my momma, but he couldn't even curse right so I just laughed. he said go, so we left. Dumb ass, we were going to pay what we ate. Worst food and worst experience ever! And I never write reviews, but this was a...
Read moreI'll give this place 2 stars and no more for several reasons. For one we spent $90 to feed 8 people thinking we would have a ton of food and of course some leftovers because in a Chicago, at least, the Chinese food spots ALWAYS serve you a ton of food regardless if the food s good or not. So the delivery guy comes and he's late because there was some "police activity" which I gave him a pass and thought to myself was a valid reason. We open the food and realize that the amount of food in each container was significantly lighter than I'm used to from a Chinese restaurant and it definitely was because we ate all of the food between the 8 of us and at least 5 of us said we were still hungry. Granted we were all very hungry since we hadn't eaten for several hours due to being at a business convention for several hours with little room to eat. The owner was nice enough give us 2 pieces of very average cheesecake since we spent nearly $100 on food. The food was a 4 out of 10 and the mongolian beef had more vegetables than beef. In fact, the vegetables, specially the onions, were covering the beef. The beef fried rice had a decent flavor and the color of the beef was more of a gray color than a nice brown color to it. The egg roll was thin not flavorful. We were really excited to eat Chinese food because we know how good it is back in Chicago. Along with that, we tipped the driver very handsomely $15 who was late, but like I said he was held back due to his claim of "police activity". Either way, he was late. In conclusion, this place was very sub par for a Chinese food place. We didn't feel we got our money worth for the amount and the flavor of the food. Not sure how other Chinese restaurants in Phoenix are but I highly recommend this place to call places like The Orange Garden and Eat First in Chicago to get advice on how to prepare good Chinese food for...
Read moreI ordered three egg rolls which were overcooked they weren't crispy they were chewy and gooey. I ordered wonton soup the broth seemed as though it had set up for a long time it was dark in color it was bitter the meat inside was dark and rubbery the wontons absolutely were disgusting. I ordered three orders of moo goo gai pan which were not moo goo got pan. In these three plates a moo goo got pan it was 85% vegetables it wasn't carrots snow peas and mushrooms and water chestnuts it was everything else that you could think of to fill the plate or the dish besides the snow peas the mushrooms the carrots and the water chestnuts none of those were present there was maybe 15% of the meat in the dish this was not moo goo gai pan. This was something other than what I ordered it was bitter sour tasted like garlic highly disappointed and I will never order food from this restaurant because I wouldn't even feed this to the homeless people. I don't really like to write bad reviews but when I have food and I'm expecting something simple as moo goo gai pan to be and it comes out to be mush or goulash I I'm a speechless that you actually allowed that to go out your doors and to be a representation of what moo goo gai pan is but it wasn't it was garbage and it's going in...
