AZ Cactus Experts — Attraction in Phoenix

8/6/23 Adding to my previous post from 3 years ago when Chali from AZ Cactus Experts straightened the Saguaro in our backyard, which is still standing straight. Unfortunately, the searing summer temps this year impacted our front yard Saguaro and it fell over from heat stress. I called AZ Cactus Experts on Friday afternoon and at 6pm on Saturday, Chali was at my house ready to get to work again. He honored the fact that I was a returning customer and I was very appreciative. Within an hour, he had removed the diseased fallen cactus, had it loaded on his flatbed, dug up the core/stump so that nothing remained, added dirt where it had been standing, raked the rocks and cleaned up the sidewalk! This man works so hard and he also has a love for these mighty cacti, he too is saddened by what is happening around the valley and how they are falling. I could not recommend a person or company more than I recommend Chali and AZ Cactus Experts. I've added before and after photos.

Original post from 2020 Our cactus had been leaning for the past year and half and seemed to be getting worse. We called AZ Cactus Experts and Claudia was able to squeeze us in with on a late Saturday afternoon with only a few days notice. Chali and his small team of one person performed some miracle work on our cactus on a Saturday afternoon that went into the evening when it was dark. Chali did some incredibly hard work that afternoon we were very happy with the work. That cactus has never looked so great, and our back yard area seems so much larger now that our cactus has been straightened. Chali's knowledge, experience and attention to detail were very much appreciated, as well as his kindness and willingness to help and answer a lot of other cactus related questions. He was nice enough to relocate and replant two barrels that were at the base of the one he worked on, and we are so grateful for his time and support. to the AZ Cactus Experts for fitting us into your busy schedule. We would have otherwise lost this cactus for sure during the next reasonable...

I am SO happy with my experience with AZ Cactus Experts!  A few weeks ago I contacted them to see if they could remove a couple cacti from our back yard.  One was right next to our pool and had begun to lean toward it.  (As we already had a cactus fall in our pool a few years ago, I was so worried it would happen again!)  The other cactus was growing dangerously close to the retaining wall between our house and our neighbor's house.  Claudia was the first person I spoke to at AZ Cactus.  She was SUPER helpful! She had me text photos. Then, she gave me a removal and disposal price that was very reasonable and less expensive than other places!  When I told her I was trying to save them, she actually recommended a different company and gave me their contact information!  After calling that company and realizing our cacti could not be transplanted, I called Claudia back and contracted with AZ Cactus Experts.  Today was removal day.  Charli and Juan arrived about 10 minutes earlier than my appointment time!  Even though it was 9:30a.m. it was already creeping toward 100 degrees!  Throughout the entire process, THEY WERE AMAZING!  I told Charli I am a teacher.  He didn't complain when I took a video to show my students and he even took the time to show me what had happened to the cacti!  Charli was super friendly and knowledgeable!  He also rescued a bee! And you should have seen Juan LASSO a cactus!  I was AMAZED by his skill and giggled like a little kid!  I know I was in the way because I was so curious and fascinated, but they were really accomodating!  When they were finished, they cleaned up so well, you can't even tell there had been two cacti out there!  They took care of everything!  Even the gravel looks perfect!  When it was time to pay, the price was exactly what the initial quote had been! AZ Cactus Experts ARE EXPERTS!  They are kind, friendly, and have integrity!  Hire them! ~With MUCH...

I had a leaning Saguaro that needed a limb removed and to be straightened. The Saguaro leaned significantly within a 2 week timeframe. I was pretty worried about it and was hoping to get it fixed within the next few days. AZ Cactus Experts couldn't get me on the schedule right away (mostly due to my schedule constraints) but they stopped by to provide temporary supports for the time between when I called and when they could get me scheduled, free of charge. They quoted me less than Goodman's and Saguaro Doctor. Claudia coordinated everything very well and communicated as needed. Chali, the man who serviced the Saguaro, has a wealth of knowledge of many different types of cactus - he was able to straighten the cactus out, recommend care, explain the overall work process, diagnose issues, repair irrigation (which wasn't part of the agreement, but he did it anyway at no cost), and assess the root situation. I'm a Project Manager at a leading General Contractor in AZ and I can attest to this man's ability to professionally assess and communicate an issue. When Chali discovered that the Saguaro was originally planted wrong, he showed me his findings and explained why. He said that I can leave it and it won't hurt anything or I can dig a sloped grade to the top of the roots to expose the Saguaro correctly. I opted to keep it as-is. These guys did great, seriously great work and I would not hesitate to hire them again for not just my Saguaro, but any of my other cacti in my cactus garden (& for non-residential work if they are open to it). We need more businesses like AZ Cactus Experts. Great job AZ Cactus Experts...
