Because my kids are fairly young, 7 and 10, my family went to enjoy the splatter paint room. The experience itself was pretty cool, we all enjoyed making our paintings and âoccasionallyâ throwing paint at each other. đ
Unfortunately, we had two issues that are causing me to leave a dissatisfactory review.
One: We paid for the paintball guns but, when we arrived, we were told that they were not available. They offered a refund and a few other options, so we took the refund. My sons were very excited about the opportunity to shoot paintballs, since they never had before. But that wouldâve been nbd on its own, because I understand that no business is ever going to have everything you want whenever you want it. I donât even get upset when the ice cream machine at McDonaldâs is âbrokenâ.
But what drove me to leave this review was reason numberâŚ
Two: When we arrived exactly on time (which, with a couple young kids in tow, the parents out there know how hard that can be) we were told to wait a few minutes. Again, typically nbd, but when we were checked in after about five minutes we were given the ponchos and foot/leg covers to keep most of our clothes clean. I had to help my kids get hermetically sealed (j/k) but it took essentially an equal amount of time that we were asked to wait to check in for us to be ready to go in. About 5 minutes. ==The employee who checked us in audibly huffed and puffed and rolled their eyes as we were trying to get ready.== Iâm not the most traditional parent so I know itâs probably odd, but I didnât want to be scrubbing paint out of my kids hair later that night. If it was important to them for us to get ready quickly, we could have used the five minutes they made us wait to get that done for them. Bare minimum, if we were taking too long, it would have been better to just kindly warn us that they would have to take 5 minutes off of our time if we needed much longer. Hard to be in a poncho/gloves/shoe booties for 30 minutes, anyway. No need to act so annoyed when we are paying for the experience, we werenât trying to annoy you. And, as you can probably imagine from the above, it wouldnât be difficult had we any desire to.

The ownershipâs response was also unsatisfactory. Hard to say that Iâm surprised, considering how bothered they seem to be about making money in a capitalist society, for whatever reason. The owner had to make a point of clarifying that the paint guns are not paintball guns, but paint squirt guns and suggest that giving my children paintball guns would be dangerous - as though I didnât understand that.
I paid money assuming that you were a responsible company and that you would know if you could make paintballs safe or if the paint-squirt guns were safe. Either way, it would have been more fun for my kids if they had the guns - you donât need to be so sensitive, splitting hairs over whether Iâm saying paintball or paint-squirt guns. My kids have never shot either & would have been thrilled. Ownerâs reply strongly suggests that I should have known that paintball guns are not safe for kids seven years old and older. Hmm. Wonder if that thought could be absolutely demolished by a YouTube search? Sorry youâre so triggered by negative comments about your business.
Let me help. Here was the correct response:
Iâm sorry to hear about your experience! I think Windsor may have misunderstood, so I will clarify for anyone reading this that she means they are paint squirt guns - not paintball guns - but I understand the confusion, since we do provide paintballs for this experience.
Windsor, I apologize if you felt that the person who checked your family in was rushing you or rude, especially when they made you wait. I will look into this and address it with them and the entire staff to ensure that it will not happen again. I am so thankful that you took time to provide this feedback , so we can improve our business.
Y'all should hire a PR professional (not me - lol, I bet it sucks to work for you, hence your grumpy...
Read moreWhat a fun experience! If you've ever had the urge to randomly smash something whether in frustration or just to hear the sound it would make this is the place to do it. You will be in safety gear & be in a room designed for smashing fun so that you won't ruin anything in your own home and best of all you do not need to sweep it all up afterward.
It is nice that you get to pick a crate from their hallway of objects you'd like to smash, it adds a little customization to the experience along with any add on items you can buy. I ended up with a plate in my crate & had a blast throwing it at the wall like a frisbee and watching it shatter into a bunch of tiny pieces. We also had a computer monitor that had been placed in our room to smash with a cute welcoming message for us! My family & I had a great time, and the confetti filled bottles are so neat to see shatter because the confetti makes a pop of color.
This can be pretty therapeutic if you need it. They had some bigger items that looked fun to break as well like a fax machine and old radios. This is a spot I know we will end up booking again sometime in the future with a bigger group of people. Price wise I think it is fair because you get the protective gear, the room space, a crate full of objects, the clean up afterwards and a bottle of water if you wish at the end of...
