Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Phoenix

Would have rated a zero if I could. Ordered through the drive thru hamburger meal and a kids meal the lady on the mic seem to only know the word uh huh. Asked her to repeat my order and she must have turned the mic off not sure asked 4 times till I pulled forward. No one in the drive thru when I pulled in one car behind me when i finished ordering. I pulled forward there ended up being 6 cars behind me they all seemed to get their food and drinks before me. I waited 20 minutes....... that's crazy I finally asked when my food will be ready she asked what I ordered I started to tell her she said I already brought that to you and I said no you said two vanilla shakes I didnt order that. Needless to say if the girl working the drive thru window could repeat orders instead of just saying uh huh this could have all been avoided. Worst sonic ever and this isn't the first issue with this location. Very disappointing since I do like sonic and every one I've been to is always been a good experience except this location. We went to Sonic tonight to participate in a school fundraiser. The employee (Sierra or Sienna) had trouble hearing us when we were attempting to order, but she quickly pivoted to offer an in-person order taking. She came right out to our car within 30 seconds and gave us THE BEST service I have ever had at a Sonic to date. She was friendly, professional, and patient as me and the kids ordered our food - even with all the picky alterations my youngest had for her burger. And, she made sure to confirm all the specifics before returning inside to enter the order. Everything came out perfectly, as our car hop, Ary, continued the excellent service - even returning to the kitchen to get us extra sauces and straws, and remembering to take my receipt to log our participation in the school fundraiser. To top off the great service, the food was exactly as ordered, and it was delicious as well. If you are looking to visit a Sonic Drive In anytime soon, I would HIGHLY recommend the one at 35th ave & Union Hills in Phoenix!

Food is alright considering it's fast food but the service is horrendous! Every time I give them my order they refuse to listen to what I say and give me something else. I ask for no lettuce and no tomato on a burger, they leave it on. I ask for a dish of ice cream, they give me a cone. Then when I say "I need a dish" they just plop the cone in the dish. Not only that but they give me small meals and charge me for large. When I get the money to pay for the food the lady sneers at me and barks in a snarky tone "you going to give me exact change?" Uh, YEAH I'm going to give you exact change! Are they expecting tips? It's fast food! If you want a tip, you get a job at a restaurant. Only reason I go there is because my family wants it every week. I would rather go to the other side of town to get a bite to eat! Out of all the fast food places in the area; Sonic is the worst, and I got food poisoning from McDonalds!
