We love this park! Have been coming here for years to use the playground, large open field, dog park, and most recently tennis courts. The only disappointing thing is that the city of Phoenix decided to turn two out of the four tennis courts into six Pickleball courts. I wish some of the community would have been more involved with that decision-marking the pickle ball lines could've easily been added to the existing tennis courts that are already in high demand by local kids, community members, and local tennis instructors that provide lessons there. I will be excited to try the two new courts when they become open again after resurfacing. A lot of people have mentioned the homeless that live here. I will say any interactions I've ever had if any with the people that live in the parking lot or underneath the shade of trees have always been friendly and non-threatening. The occasional smell of marijuana during the week nights while playing tennis can be experienced but is usually covered up by a very nice couple that burns incense lol five stars to the nog Chopra lol

Let me tell you when I thought I found my new favorite park I was highly disappointed. This park is beautiful. There are two nice playgrounds, one for older kids and one for younger kids. There is a pickle ball and tennis courts, basketball court, volleyball net and even a dog park. But the biggest downfall of all is the homeless people of course. Every single time I have gone to the park there was either a tent set up with homeless people chilling. Or there were homeless people in the bathroom using it as their own personal spa or laundry mat. The park is big enough to avoid them but using the outside bathroom is out of the question. If you do end up here and need the bathroom there is one inside the community center.

Our family loves Deer Valley Park! There not lying about space either, no matter the size of the event this park is capable of being a host to many including your pet dogs. They built this park with a older and toddler jungle gym, 4 pairs of swings, tennis courts, basketball area, a little and big dog area, places to sit in the shade and enough benches to relax. With other obstacles this park brings it’s a of fun and very free feeling. Make sure to bring plenty water, snacks and use sunscreen if necessary. Quick trip is also near by the park for any inconveniences. Give it all your positive moments and this place will be a memory of a life time!

This dog park has three 1 acre spaces with one unavailable for turf maintenance. The park entrance is about 200 feet north of the parking lot. The lights do NOT cover the entire grass area. I would suggest bringing a strong flashlight to safely avoid doggy presents hidden in the dark areas. The gates to enter each section open one way fully, but there are no directions on them. They do open a little bit, just enough to let the dog slip in before you realize it won't open for you. This causes a brief struggle to make sure you don't harm the dog while reversing the door. The gates have one door for going in and one door for going out which is helpful for orderly entrance and exit. There is a water fountain in each section, but there are no donated bowls. The people I met there were very friendly and did not report any complications with other owners. There is a risk of running into other owners and dogs on the narrow path from the parking lot to the park entrance area with one report of a fist fight between owners in the parking lot. The park is fairly new (Nov 2017) and the trees have not grown high enough to be too much help against the sun. There are metal park benches spaced around the edge of the park and a small Ramada with one metal picnic bench underneath. The location of the park is currently not easy to get to as 19th ave does not have an interchange exit from the eastbound 101 (possibly scheduled to get a ramp by 2021). Access from I-17 requires a roundabout way from east on Utopia Rd, north on 23rd ave, east on Beardsley Rd, then south on 19th ave. It might be easier to exit I- 17 from Deer Valley road from the north or Union Hills from the south. From the west on the 101, one has to exit at 35th ave? and take Beardsley for several miles before going south on 19th. Westbound from the 101 seems to be the fastest with an easy exit to 19th ave. There are no bathroom facilities in the area unless the pool is open (but they probably won't allow your dog to go with you). The grass was not uniformly cut with clumps of tall grass in spots, it looked like...

Nice City of Phoenix Park , For the spectrum Demographics City's are not segregated by age inclusive when visually looking at census save universities dense on first day and there are private condo buildings over 50 no kids or children fewer pets too compares with super sub big box floor plan for affordable home developments congrats on your new life Fido im very happy for mans best friend , sorry Niehbor I popped the big question on your side of the Bed or next to painted toe nails? Came and left almost immediately. Heaps of dog poo people aren't picking up on the way toward the entrance and they were mostly fresh, disgusting. If it's beneath you to pick up after your dog, you shouldn't have dogs, period. Forgot your bags? Politely ask someone for one.

My main gripe here was that there were big dogs in the small dog area even though the clearly labeled big dog area was wiiiiide open. How do Great Dane-sized dogs qualify as "small"? There were some aggressive dogs here as well causing most of the small dogs to wander the outer edges by the fence. It wasn't worth the risk for my dogs to get a $2500 broken leg from a playful big dog, agressive or not. If you want a respectable dog park where people actually follow the rules and weight limits, go to Pioneer Park in Peoria. It is far and beyond more well kept and there are clearly marked signs for big and small dogs. Small dog section has a limit of up to 35lb and under, and almost everyone picks up after the their dogs. I've even seen nice ladies pick up other dogs' poop! This park should follow the example of Pioneer Community Park and the respectable owners and dogs that frequent it. I was hoping this park would be great as it is close to home, but it fails miserably. Peoria is far from where I live but it's worth the drive knowing my dogs...
