I decided to get a dual masters degree online and started August 2024. I had dropped out by Jan 2025. The classes were repetitive but doable - the whole 3 I was allowed. My professor graded one of my papers with AI and gave me a 0 for plagiarism without reviewing my paper for himself. I was able to get this corrected after discussing with him. However, I was then "randomly chosen" for a "governmental review" where I was removed from all of my classes and academic program until they received everything they said they needed. I was unable to receive a call, email, or any form of communication during this time from my financial advisor, academic advisor, or anyone from the call center (I waited on hold 3 hours). I was only able to communicate with StAS.FACompliance@phoenix.edu. They said they needed Two official documents mailed to me via USPS, official high school transcripts, and notarized color copies of my social security card and drivers license. I provided all of these and they found a problem with each and every document multiple times so they would not accept any of it for review. There was a minimum of 3-6 days between email replies and the process took so long my fafsa became ineligible and I had to drop out. It then took over a month to obtain proof that the university returned my funds to fafsa. Horrible experience and I would never recommend this "university" to anyone.

University of Phoenix offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degree programs. The institution is a vital hub for entrepreneurship and innovation-based research because of its affordable tuition, excellent academic rigor, and substantial professional opportunities for graduates. It also highlights its skilled instructors, welcoming community, and assortment of adaptable online course alternatives. recognizing the diverse perspectives that have established University of Phoenix as a renowned academic and cutting-edge business institution in the United States. I had financial difficulties and several job losses until the University of Phoenix gave me the assistance and direction I needed to start Nixons Cleaning Company LLC Bend. I am immensely grateful and feel privileged to be able to share this chance and my experience in establishing the first female immigrant a Bend-based, minority-owned, environmentally conscious cleaning business that specializes in nutrition and provides janitorial services to government, business, and residential clients.

I transferred from Dallas Baptist, a very expensive private school. The quality of instruction was excellent. I wish I had a transferred out earlier. I was able to work with educators from all over the US to compare common core standards versus just working with local educators in Texas. I highly recommend transferring to Phoenix for a fraction of the cost. The graduation at Chase Field in Phoenix was great with the exception of 100 degrees outside of the air conditioned field.

So I will say; take my review with a grain of salt- my experience happened a few years ago; but looking at the most recent reviews- I can see obviously much has not changed from this school. I chose to write this review now because they recently tried calling my phone asking me to come back to school- sparked my interest to instead, tell them I am not coming back and write a review instead.

I was working two part time jobs at the time and attending UoP in my local area. I found out about the school through one of my relatives who, wanted me to get a college degree and heard from friends that it was a "good" school. So naturally, I applied and didn't think to look up the reviews until after it was too late... but we will get to that.

My enrollment councilor screwed me over financially. She told me I was approved for a $5500 grant- I found out after I got an email a few months later that- in fact- it was not a grant, it was a LOAN, major difference as I was trying to avoid loans at all costs.

When I found out about the loan- needless to say, I tried to work things out with the staff but I was out of luck and freaking out over the misinformation given to me; so I chose to leave UoP until I could figure out the financial situation. Fast forward a month- and sent debt collectors after me- I only took two classes during my entire time there and my loan I thought paid for those classes? I still don't know the full story behind that one but regardless, I owed them $1300 apparently so I just told them to buzz off and sent them the money not thinking anything of it. Except- my dumb self should have questioned them further because of that loan I had- because I also had to pay the loan off too for actually around that same amount. I will never find out the story behind the debt collectors- I'm still under the impression they scammed me because the loan should have took care of both the classes I attended. Regardless...

After I left the school- I went and did some research only to find out too little too late that it turns out- their degrees cost an arm and a leg to obtain- but it turns out their degrees aren't really even worth anything to employers! It sucks getting a ton of student debt; happens to the majority of the population- but what sucks even more than accruing all that debt is finding out it basically was all for nothing. Employers laugh at the degree- it's a pointless piece of paper coming from UoP apparently.

I was pleased with the teaching in my local area and the teachers were awesome! But that's the only positive thing I have to say about UoP aside from teaching me to look up school reviews and their degree worth before applying for the school. Stay far, far away from UoP. Not only is the school pricing high up there- but turns out the degrees aren't worth anything and in my experience, that staff were either untrained or flat out lied to me which almost financially killed me at the time since I was barely pulling over $10K a year.

I laugh because what inspired the review was me getting a phone call asking if I'd be willing to come back- I'm curious to know if the school is hurting that bad to the point where they are trying to market themselves to former students to please come back despite previous experiences. No UoP, I will not come back- I do not wish to spend tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars only to find the face of my future employers laughing at it when I present it like such an accomplishment has happened- like putting blood, sweat, and tears into four years of my life for a piece of paper that turns out- might as well be burned it's so pointless. Stay away from this school- you will find other schools with much better programs, possibly more affordable, but mainly- a degree...

Before you make a choice of whether to attend or not, you should read my review because I'm a student and I address many of the ''issues'' people have with this school.

I'm a current student about halfway done with my bachelors in environmental science. I think this is all around a good school. People saying it's a joke were probably getting joke associates degrees (arts/business) and quitting before things get really hard... AND THEY DO! There are indeed some idiots in the lower division classes but they don't make it very far. The school allows everyone to TRY to succeed regardless of ability, but they don't let idiots graduate. There is a huge difference between allowing stupid people into your school and giving them a chance to succeed VS lowering the bar and giving them diplomas. They give everyone the opportunity to learn and grow without discrimination against ability so you will see some dumb people in the beginning. I don't see any of those people now that I'm in my upper division courses. If many of these people saying the school is a joke had stuck through it for a year or so and waited until farther down the line they would see that the mouth breathers give up or can't pass and are dropped.

Honestly the world is full of complainers. People on here saying they were ''tricked'' into getting student loans. How is one tricked into logging on the FASFA website, filling out pages of personal information and clicking apply now? There's zero personal responsibility here. Secondly they're upset about the cost which is fully disclosed in the beginning and available for anyone who cares to look if they need a reminder. There are no hidden fees or tricks. Grow up and actually take a look at the degree requirements before signing up. Do you expect to have your hand held through life or are you going to take the initiative? When I want to buy something I always check the price tag first because that's the adult thing to do!

What I see here is a low level of dedication, excuse making and a failure to take personal responsibility. One needs only to look at the writing quality of the comments to see the caliber of these quitters and complainers. Not that I'm so smart or a great writer, but I can at least form coherent sentences and express myself eloquently. Their complaints are that someone in the staff didn't jump through hoops of fire and answer their questions fast enough so they're having a tantrum. The attitude reflected in this review section is what you would expect from a generation of safe spaces and whiners that believe the world should bend at their every whim and they have an insatiable level of entitlement. ''I paid and things aren't easy and going my way.'' Boo hoo.

If this school was so easy and a diploma mill, why is their graduation rate at 17%? If it's so EASY why aren't people doing better? This school is quite hard if you choose a hard degree program and get past the prerequisites. It's very challenging and it takes a high level of dedication and personal responsibility to succeed and push yourself to study. Many people can't hack it here and need to point the finger of blame on someone else to save face. Don't be fooled by these quitters. If you're a working adult or have kids this is a great option for you. Give it a couple of years and if you hate it you can always transfer...

If only I could warn everyone about this school, even though they should never be referred to as such. I completed 57 credits and somehow managed to accumulate over $50,000 in student loans, not including my out of pocket expenses. I was consistently lied to about the loans and now I'm so far in debt that there is no end in sight. The enrollment officers are not well trained and provide false information. The academic and financial advisors also hide the truth. Numerous complains were made by myself and others in regards to instructors and academics throughout my time their but with little mediation. Out of the 57 credits only 14 transferred, which intelligence is not an issue as I'm a 4.0 GPA student at my other school, which is actually academically credible. The school lies to obtain government money and preys upon lower income individuals. You will struggle to find a job with any degree you obtain from here as the quality of education is comparable to a primary level. Often teachers do not meet the necessary requirements and standards to teach classes so we played a lot of games in class. Tests are never actually given, except a few online ones for math. Teachers hand other student papers to other class member to grade, what's the point of paying the teacher if the students are doing their job. If you like writing papers that mean absolutely nothing and not actually read by most teachers than this school is for you. What can you really expect to learn in 5 weeks and still wonder why you cant get a job after attending UOP. When you do need to transfer good luck getting those transcripts as the school does everything in their power to delay that process. Almost a month now, many emails and phone calls and still no response to the documents I need to transfer properly, go figure. Society needs to do itself a favor and ban and discredit this "business" as it is a complete waste of time and massive amounts of money. Almost 10 years later and I still cant get back on my feet because of this school. Additionally, All my account history/payments has been "archived" after I made a BBB complaint and was told I need to sign consent forms to receive this information. I also was placed on a do not email list, even though they have been emailing me to in reference to a syllabus but wont for my payment history. No wonder it is such a joke. Did I forget to mention this a school you can cheat to get through because guess what a fellow student got caught plagiarizing and the school received complaints but took no measures to reprimand that student by any means. Numerous complaints were made but that student still received an A. Sadly this institution gives a bad name and creates a fear for others who wish to pursue higher education. There is a reason many celebrities, tv shows, and comedians out there publicly make fun of the school. Do yourself a favor and jump in a giant hole before you attend this school, same principle. Go to a real school, start at a community college, apply yourself, get legitimate funding and receive an education worth paying for. I also made other complaints through the dispute management a while back that were rather significant but they were ignored/brushed...
