First time here post-remodel but not my first stay. I like Hilton properties, so it is unlikely one would ever get a truly bad review. That said, there are some ups and downs to the remodel of the suites. The very first thing to catch my eye as I walked in was the awesomely large desk space. If there were two chairs two people that aren't my husband could even share. Awesome workspace for the massive multitasking in you or yours. Other wins include sleek modern look, a mini fridge that is a useful size and they kept a microwave, however dorm room sized or smaller. I think it is around the size of my toaster oven. The shower is gorgeous, but if you're thinking of a luxurious bath bomb soak, you are out of luck. Bedding is as expected and mattress suits me. They have done up the outlets to help with all electrical needs so I didn't have to unplug the lamp to charge my phone or tablet while still being able to use my CPAP. THE MISSES: no bath. The closet remodel gives you open basket drawers on one side and hanging space with suitcase rack on the other side. Having a guest to your suite and they need to use your restroom? Plan on keeping anything you don't want them to see like intimate apparel in your suitcase... open wire drawers are, well, open and not behind doors. The wallpaper behind the luggage rack/closet space sort of defies description. I'm guessing at artistic rendition of magnified pollen blowing around in front of the petals of equally magnified rose, but what the artist or the decorator was thinking is beyond me. The TV in the bedroom is well proportioned and we'll locayed. The one in the living are is awkwardly hung in the space between the window and AC panel. They added an extra drape panel for no apparent reason that might have been intended to frame that TV the way the other two frame the window, but it is placed so it can't hang straigh, instead having to drape to one side of the TV mount and behind the tv. Awkward. All because they wanted to redo the couch arrangement to be back facing the desk instead of 90 degrees to it. To be fair, if they positioned it that way the tv in each room would be back to back and might have remote inrerference. Also, the trend to microscopic night tables carries here. Travelling with CPAP? Or worse, two? It'll work but I'd love...

First the HILTON: I worked for a Hilton property and know the policies. Here’s the breakdown: Pros: -They honored an early check-in at 12:00pm when they were sold out. Awesome. -They guy we called before reserving was awesome and helpful. (Though none of his help happened, but he was nice) Cons: -you pay for breakfast (we didn’t because you can get an (assumed) better breakfast at the Waffle House for cheaper) -pool wasn’t warmed maybe 70 degrees -hot tub wasn’t warmed (like maybe 70 degrees). I asked the employee at around 8pm if there’s a trick to getting it to heat. Her response was “I don’t know? I’ve never used it?”. Again, I worked at a Hilton, at the front desk. I never once used our pool or hot tub but I would seek a solution and provide apologies for an an inconvenience like this. Nope. I paid $400+ for a room for the accommodations that were not provided, and the employees were less than helpful. Not Hilton standards. I understand a pool/hot tub out of order but what is this communication? -room: ac is extremely loud. The bathroom counter and floors near toilet have mold and decay. -didn’t use use shuttle due to our unexpected extra night that we spent at the Holiday Inn Now to the Holiday Inn Express Pros: -first, I was hesitant because I had been a Hilton fan and nearly applied for a CC with them (thank god I didn’t) -amazing front desk service through and through check-in, shuttle inquiry, and check-out -breakfast: FREE and only had a little which was the biscuits and gravy which was superb (super moist biscuits) -room: amazingly clean (I googled if they just built the property due to how clean it was. The remodel was over a decade ago. Gorgeous. Cons(kind-of) -shuttle- only downside was one shuttle driver wouldn’t pick us up from an address 2.1 miles away for when we dropped off our Turo rental car. $7 Uber so no biggie. Shuttle for the airport at 9am was on time and he was so kind (pro). Paid nearly the same price for both rooms, though I would pay over $100 more for the Holiday Inn Express any day. I’m now not considering the Hilton Credit Card. I can also use my Holiday Inn stay points to my...
Read moreCurrently staying at this hotel and have a few pros and cons. Cons outweigh the pros, but with some things fixed, I can see the room being much more comfortable:
Cons: Toilet flush system is imperfect and doesn’t flush all the way. Performs mini-flushes continuously for a bit after flushing, and toilet itself shifts when sat on.
Door to bathroom installed incorrectly. Will not close, and only reason it doesn’t bother us too much is because it’s just my husband and I in here. (attached picture)
AC doesn’t cool down room throughout the day. Room consistently 75 despite being set to 68. Thermostat not working is not great as I’m pregnant and not doing well in high heat.
Microwave start button does not work so it is useless.
Smart TV should hook up to phone via cast or screen cast. TV does not due to improper set-up
Room cleaning happens every other day instead of every day. Was not advertised except for on mirror of bathroom after already checking in.
Construction happening at 9:45am. Only “advanced warning” was during check-in where they provide a warning on a piece of paper on the desk so you cannot receive any refund or partial compensation. At this point, most people will not change their reservations DAY OF after check-in time without needing to pay much higher fees elsewhere. Should have been communicated in an email or on their website.
Pros: Large, spacious room with fridge available
Shower was very comfortable and large with a giant shower head that gave good pressure. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion provided.
Bed is very comfortable and room was clean.
Complimentary Keurig use, but coffee only restocked every other day.
Restaurant available in hotel - no free breakfast, but buffet is...
