Omg I loved this place! We went ice skating & I took my 3 year old daughter for the first time & she had a blast. The rink was a good size, not sure if it's considered official size or whatnot, I assume so, but it was just perfect! They offer all sorts of programs there. They have a youth learn to play program which is so cool to offer for our area because hockey is so big. They also offer figures skating classes, curling & adult hockey leagues. I'm sure there are more things they offer. It's so nice this is in our area because it gives children an opportunity to try something new or continue pursuing a sport they like. This is a big deal for our area. The facility is clean, lots of room & the employees are very helpful. This is a gem for wilkes barre.

This is a decent park. But it’s tired. Some playground equipment is broken. However, I would guess it’s the biggest playground in Wilkes-Barre. It has a little zip line, rock climbing wall and a bunch of slides. Heads-up only porta-potties available. No seating in the splash pad area. Bring a camp chair! This is the only splash pad in Wilkes-Barre area. Most locals go else where to cool off in the summer. If you here for basketball, baseball or soccer I’m sure this park gets the job done.

Clean park, clean play equipment. The surrounding area is also clean. It features a basketball court. The ice rink is open on certain days to the public. The splash pads are unfortunately inoperable at this point. My daughter had a great time.

It's a beautiful park!! They have a splash pad for the kids and its free!!! It's wonderful when you don't have a pool and cant always afford the public pools. The kids run from the splash pad to the park to the basketball courts..always moving. The playground itself is fenced in which so important. And It's away from the road. But go early because the biggest downside is the element of adults and kids that come down is horrible. The kids are by themselves, very young kids sometimes because they come down from the housing projects across the street and left to take care of themselves.sad.. so the kids are always fighting and cursing especially when the older kids get there. Then the so called adults come and take over and curse and yell and blast music with nasty profanities...Im sure I listen to music with curses too but I certainly don't blast it where there are young children. It is a kids playground not an adult hang out. I have witnessed fights and cops being called and a man beating and cursing and screaming and dragging his very young child ,maybe 3 years old. Disgraceful.. So there needs to be a constant police presence in my opinion..which is very sad for a child's park. I dont always feel safe and we end up leaving ahead of time bed of the other kids and so called adults behavior. It could be a wonderful park but is completely downgraded because of the people there. I wish they didn't build it in such a bad area. So again..go early and you will enjoy yourself...3pm comes get...

Many people are hesitant to go to this park due to it being next to subsidized housing, but let me tell you its worth it!

There is a sub-police station there, so it is safer than most parks in the area. They recently spent something like a million dollars renovating it. I love that it has the gates around it and 2 different parts, one for little kids and one for older.

It has so many different things to play on and I also love the main playset is all connected with ramps. They have a walk through fountain in the summer and basketball courts. It is up to date and very clean.

Since last year, there has been damage to 2 of the walk-on sets, they still have not fixed which is the only play drawback.

My only real complaint about this park, which is not about the park itself is the lack of supervising children compared to other parks. I see many younger children here with either no parent, or one who does not stay in the area. I have had multiple younger children ask me to help them take off their coat or put them in a swing, which I wouldn't do for obvious reasons, especially in today's world. I even had one little boy coughing consistently then trying to grab my daughters arm (she is 18 months old) and pull her up one of the climbing sets while coughing in her face. Besides the lack of supervision of children, it's...

Stopped there with my kids so they can blow off some energy.

Great playground that is huge for kids. Many swings and cool things for them to do. There aren't that many parks in the WB area that are as well-kept. Plus, this one is home to the Penguins hockey team. Every now and then you can see the players going into the arena to practice. They'll sometimes stop by and say hi to the kids. It's a pretty great deal.

Baseball field is well-maintained during the warmer months and there's a fence around it to keep people out that shouldn't be in there wrecking the field.

Free parking too.

Downside is that it's at the end of a pretty rough neighborhood. I grew up about three miles away so I know the area well. Should be no problems during the day when you're there...
