I don't know IF this one particular review will suffice for everything and everyone that my family and I met and interacted with in Plains, GA. USA or not, I'll try?! In any case, I first want to start by saying God bless the Good, Good People of Plains, GA. USA and the Man and Family of James E. Carter, Our Once and Former President of the United States of America! President Carter and his People are REALLY AND TRULY one of a kind, and come from a uniquely one-of-a-kind place. And though it has been ages and ages since I was last at Plains, President Carter's Brother Billy was STILL amongst the living then, and I was but a small child, I do still remember that trip with my now deceased parents quite well! Second, Plains has a rich and unique history. I doubt, seriously, that had Mr. Carter not run for and got elected to the higher offices that he did, we would have probably known very little, if anything, about Plains, GA. USA. For it is 'a quiet, one horse town' and a half IF there was one! Third, and FINALLY, one and all MUST make the journey to Plains and experience it for yourselves! No one or more, Google reviews will suffice, and, I fear, they may well pale in comparison. The journey, the destination, and the People that make it all up MUST be taken up by you, the Reader, the Journeyman! Come! Come on down to Plains, GA. USA see and experience All the Amazing People and Things that make her up daily! See you all there! P. S. The peanut ice cream is to die for!!

Very interesting place to stop. The train depot was informative of the Jimmy Carter presidential election. A must see if you go to Plains. They were doing some construction on the train depot platform, but should be done soon. We really enjoyed our stop here today!

We rode the SAM Shortline from Veterans Park to this Depot. Once we disembarked from the train there were so many quaint, cute places with rich history of the area. Quiet community in a very rural part of Georgia.
