Here is my wife's response to your message:
Firstly, we have been trying to contact you since this morning for a one-on-one conversation, but we never received any response. My wife even sent a voice note requesting a call back to clarify all the points you mentioned in your response. This lack of communication shows how unethical and unprofessional your staff is. We didn't want to make a fuss, but given your behavior, we need to address our concerns. Please understand that we have lives outside of this issue.
Here is my wife's response:
I only asked one question about the type of oil being used at the very start of the session. The therapist couldn't answer and called for assistance. It had been barely two minutes since we started, and they asked if I was okay to proceed. I felt that language shouldn't be a barrier because the receptionist assured me she was well-trained. How can someone judge a person's work after just two minutes? So, I agreed to proceed with a smile on my face to not impact the entire session.
During the massage, the therapist was good at times but also too hard and hurt me. I even pulled her hand away multiple times, saying "PAIN." She asked if I was okay, but there was no point in trying to explain further since she couldn't understand. So, I just let it be.
At the end, while paying, I politely asked why the massage felt so plain. There is a significant difference between a normal massage and a prenatal massage, which I did not experience at your center. Yes, I did pay a tip because the receptionist asked if I wanted to, and the therapist was standing right in front of me expecting it. I did not voluntarily want to pay; it was just a gesture for her effort.
Get the facts right before commenting on someone. I have been waiting for your call but to no avail. I hope you have enough maturity to deal with negative reviews and address my concerns. We came for relaxation, trusting your massage center, but it turned out to be a big headache. What disappoints me more is not my experience, but the way you handled the situation without etiquette. My wife's experience with the prenatal massage was quite disappointing despite the positive reviews we had read. Firstly, she was assigned a therapist who did not speak or understand English, which made communication very frustrating. Throughout the session, my wife had to rely on hand gestures to indicate the pressure, which was very annoying. The therapist applied minimal and monotonous strokes, and when asked why the massage was so basic despite the expensive charges, they claimed that better strokes and techniques required an upgraded massage plan.
The therapist lacked basic knowledge about pressure points, such as the need for gentle handling on the neck and firmer pressure on the back. My wife repeatedly asked her to go slow on the neck and apply more pressure on the back, but the therapist failed to follow these instructions. The massage did not seem "prenatal" at all, as it did not focus on the specific areas where a pregnant woman would typically experience pain. The head massage was barely performed, and the foot area, which should be a major focus for pregnant women, was completely neglected. When asked to massage her hands, the therapist did so for just a minute before declaring it done.
Overall, the experience was a complete waste of time and money. We were deeply disappointed and felt it was not worth the...
Read moreWhile I'm pretty new to massage I have been shopping around lately for a massage parlor. I think I found a keeper.
I called the previous night for an appointment the next morning. Both the phone call and when I checked in were super easy, barely an inconvenience. I got a Swedish massage, because that seems to be my baseline for trying a new massage place. Also the Swedish massage gives just the right amount of pressure for me.
While we were on our way to the room the host asked me if I wanted "four hands" I asked what that was so she says "It's four hands... Two people massaging you at once." I decided to go for it and get that add-on. I guess they weren't too busy then. They really should be more upfront about the price since it's almost twice the price of a normal massage. I only get massages every couple of months so I could afford it at the time, and if you can afford it I highly recommend it.
The room was clean and poorly lit as it should be. I was asked to disrobe to my comfort level, then get face-down under the blanket. They give you plenty of time to do this, but it's best not to keep them waiting.
Once they came in they almost immediately removed the blanket exposing my entire backside to the elements. This was fine for me, a casual nudist, but if you have an issue with being naked around strangers a Swedish massage may not be for you.
One of them worked tirelessly on my stiff upper back and neck, while the other focused on my legs and feet. They were very careful to notice parts where I was uncomfortable or ticklish, and asked if they should stop. I helped to guide them every step of the way. One benefit that I got from the four hands is they run their hands together all the way down your back and legs at the same time. It's very relaxing.
Then they cover you with the blanket and ask you to lie on your back for massaging your face, head, chest, arms, and front of your legs. The blanket stays in place for this one.
Once they're done they use hot towels to carefully wipe off most of the oil so you're not an slippery mess. That's good, because some places just lightly towel you off and assume that's all you need.
I would have to say this is possibly the best massage I've ever had. I exited that place feeling super relaxed. I will definitely come back at some point in the future when my...
