I went here for Brunch on Mother's Day, 05/12/2024. It was definitely tucked away so from the storefront it was not giving...upscale vibe. Because this was brunch, it appeared to be ample parking. I am not sure what it would be like when all of the other establishments are opened. The décor was really nice and very well put together. Upon entry, we waited to be seated. The young ladies that greeted us as the door were friendly, however, the young lady Taylor that greeted us, asked about our reservation and sat us at our table, was not. She lacked enthusiasm and did not present the brand of this establishment well at all. To me she was more focused on socializing and representing for her co-workers that work there vs the people that are customers. Where we sat, it was cold because it was very close to the door. We asked to be moved and was told no due to reservations but the entire time we were there it would not have been an issue because it was not a full house...not even halfway. I will admit that we were shocked that we had a window of an hour and a half to eat. Overall we understood, especially on a day like Mother's day to keep the move of availability fluid.

Any how, we were fortunate to have an amazing waitress, Tai. She is a great ambassador of service for this business. She went above and beyond. I received a dirty glass...and she was very apologetic and replaced it. I also advised her about the restrooms not being thoroughly cleaned and it was quickly addressed. Restroom cleanliness alone can make or break a restaurant for sure. Stay on top of that.

Now listen here, the food is really good. I had eggs, grits and potatoes, my mom had chicken and waffles, my daughter had the breakfast platter and my son had the steak eggs and potatoes. We all had water and Mimosas for the table. We really enjoyed the music and our time of fellowship. We were greeted by the Chef and the Owner so that was pleasant to have that opportunity.

One key factor that has to be explained is that the gratuity is included. The check out is digital and not itemized. So I ended up over tipping but in this case it was well worth it because our waitress was the bomb.

Please take a look at their website and menu. It is not cheap to eat here so don't expect to pay on a low scale.

Overall, I was impressed. I made this drive from Far South to Plano, including picking up my mom from the HEB area. I want to genuinely see Black Owned businesses thrive but we have to stay on our toes and pay attention to detail. Hopefully they will continue to improve in areas and never get comfortable.

It is possible that if in the area...I will...

Food: The food was decent. The Brussel sprouts were my favorite part. They're really amazing, tender with a good bite and the glaze balanced nicely. The smoked gouda in the mac n Cheese was a nice touch, definitely elevated it. The ox tail was inconsistent, some pieces tender and others not so much. The snapper was fried perfectly but it was not fresh and therefore extremely fishy; which is atypical of snapper. I ordered the uncle Luke and it was underwhelming; the peach flavor was non existent.

Service: Our waitress was completely disengaged. Understandable that there is a time limit but she kept rushing us to order drinks, rushing us to order food, rushing with the bill. There is a more tactful way to remind people of the time limit without making them feel rushed. Every time she came to the table she was looking all around the room. When she would turn to us, she would plaster on a smile. When I asked her about her suggestions, she just listed the 4 most expensive menu items; a bit obvious. At least pick one and share why you like it. We asked her to box up the snapper because it was too big for the container and give it to one of the other ladies in the party. When we asked her the status she annoyingly responded that she had done so and walked away like she was trying to keep herself from "popping off". As the end of our time was upon us, they started cleaning and resetting the table while we were sitting there. We ended up having to condense to one table to cut cake and sing happy birthday.

Atmosphere: The set-up is very nice. The color scheme is decadent without being chintzy. The music was good, not too loud that you couldn't talk across the table. The light show was a nice touch. Great photo-ops throughout. Overall it has a fun...

Priced for a nice evening but not what you expect. The atmosphere is ratchet, not because the venue is not nice but because the waitress was lazy, had an attitude and didn't care since the 18% gratitudity was included in the bill so she knows no matter how much she doesn't care, she still gets tipped well so why care about taking care of customers? Her ratchet no care attitude was that of an after hours hookah lounge waitress. We got our drinks when we were almost done eating our food after reminding the server several times. Couldn't even offer a water in the meantime. Salad ordered but came out with the entrees and the ranch dressing was watered down so much it looked like a yeast infection over the salad. Pasta rasta and the salmon were decent.

Before we left the server was trying to place new place settings on a dirty table while we were still sitting there. She never came back to check on us after delivering the food other than to present the bill so she could get her 18% gratitudity when she was no where close to polite or gracious. I've had better service when ordering from McDonald's drive thru on the late night shift. I get that the manager/owner may want to have attractive staff but waitresses need to have a better personality than stank attitude. The workers who clear dishes etc, were on top of their jobs. I hope they get a percentage of the servers' tips because our server was useless. I would name her but she never introduced herself or even greeted us other than asking what we want to drink. If I wanted her attitude I would've ate at McDonald's.

This place has the potential to be a nice place but for that price point, no one expects attitude and no service from...
