Garibaldi Club — Attraction in Plymouth

Cool venue, great party. Bartender /co-owner was a crotchety, angry old man. Instructions/rules unclear, didn't respond to emails for clarifications. Insulted guests, complained about noise the entire time. Made a girl cry. When he said outside drinks not allowed, I assumed that meant alcohol.. not bottles of water and soda. He took it extremely personally that people were drinking water bottles. Approached me probably 8 times throughout the party to complain/insult me about something. We were very polite, cleaned up after ourselves, tipped well, offered food, didn't break anything. When booking I said - "this is an extremely loud metal band playing, are you sure it will be OK? Do you want them to play earlier?" He said no problem as long as the windows are closed you can play as late as you want. I had the band play 2 hours earlier just in case. We rented this hall for my boyfriends birthday party, payed alot of $$$$$$ to have the hall until 11. The bartender was rude to ALL our guests, and ruined the entire event, forcing everyone to LEAVE at only 9 pm claiming he hadn't been "taken care of" all night, I can assure yall that the friends and family that attended were so generous to him all night even though he was the least pleasant bartender I've ever had to deal with. I have rented many halls as well as attended many events at halls and this is by far the worst hall and service ever in my life. Save your money and go to a different spot. Will never go to this...

My friend had his wedding reception there. He and his wife went to great lengths and spent obscene amounts of money to ensure their guests had a good time, including an open bar all night. The "Manager" was the bartender on duty and was one of the rudest bartenders I've ever encountered. He was disrespectful to my friend (the groom) and his new bride. I listened as he insulted other guests for the drinks they ordered and he gave me attitude when I asked what beers he had to offer since there was nothing posted or displayed showing their stock.
