Piantedosi Butcher Shop — Local services in Plymouth

I can only speak on the steak tips as that was all I purchased, but they are grocery store quality. They taste exactly like what you get at Stop and Shop. Not to mention they cut them extremely small. A couple of them were so small they fell through the grates on my grill. They should be cut in large pieces, but maybe they are buying them at a grocery store and cutting them up. At $15/lb. these are a joke! I can get them from a restaurant for a couple dollars more and I wouldn't have to make them. I would love to find one store or restaurant that isn't only focused on greed, but that doesn't seem possible these days. I remember going to the Hilltop butcher shop about a decade ago and Filet Mignon was $6/lb., and it was good. Now hamburger is close to $6/lb.. Greed is just so prevalent now and...

What an unpleasant experience. My husband and I stopped by the other day to pick up some bone marrow and oxtail, seeing as this is the only butcher in the area. The butcher (owner?) yelled at us for asking him to cut the bone marrow, which is a fairly normal request. Apparently he thought we weren’t spending enough money ($50) to warrant cutting our meat for us, so that’s nice!

I did bump my review to 2 stars because the quality of the meat is good and they have a much better selection than any other store for miles. That being said, be prepared for a confrontational experience, especially if you have any requests. We will be driving a bit further and find a new butcher...

I decided to try out this butcher shop during the quarantine and they’re only letting one person in at a time and I truly expect that, but I have never been there before so I thought of going and trying it so they had 2 meats out in a package and the rest of the meats were out back where we can’t see them so I was about in there for about 2 mins when there was 2 other people outside behind me and all of the people that were working there told me if I know what I am getting then get it but if you don’t know what you are getting then get out of the store.
