At nearly 900 acres, Livermore’s Grove Regional Park is one of the city’s largest recreation spaces. The park is located on Wetmore Road and offers outdoorsy visitors an array of recreation options, including biking, walking, running, and horseback riding. One of the park’s centerpieces is the 2 ½-mile paved trail that winds through several natural environments. There’s also a much shorter loop trail that’s an excellent option for those traveling with little ones. From the park’s trails, it’s common to see a variety of wildlife species. There’s also a picnic area featuring covered seating and restrooms, just a stone’s throw from the parking area.

Love comping here! Can’t get enough of the size and how much there is to do. Always kids for your kids to pay with and make new friends. Even has the nature preserve where you can see LIVE animals and a small museum for learning. Great trail with a nice meadow. Since it’s so close to the mountains you must be careful for snakes in the spring and summer seasons. It adds to the awesome surprises this park has to offer. Great memories made here as always! Also has some of the most cleaned, well kept bathrooms. Water fountains and lots of kind people. Even grounds keepers are awesome and informative. Even has a raptor rescue center.

Large park , big parking lot good for some special events like wedding birthdays and etc.

Especially, good for Sunday mass since it's a first day of the week and it's a family day.. Hope each Religion can have their service or any service that could lead that there is a higher to higher position who owns everything as Park means Freedom.

Just one thing , they used to have an outlet where people can plug their electric gadget that they can use for their lights or party, mini microwave , stove to heat their food. If the problem is the maintenance , why not to place a meter for using the electricity? No need to use a coin that worries that some reckless people would break it and could get the coins but to use a card like an ATM, like how much for using it for 20 minutes ; $1 or ? If they could have for electric car why not for those little things. Electricity is a basic need.

One example. Our Government giving us a free phone, especially to those homeless but the problem has been ignored. Where their going to plug or to charge that phone? Don't you think that helped become a problem between homeless and residence or business property? We don't create a problem but solve an issue.

The fact is most homeless stays in Park during day time. If we don't have much solution for them , little by little that I believe what are the list things we can do for them to bring back who they were and while waiting for housing.

What I noticed here in California, most homeless you can also see them in Mental Health or in a jail. Does this really help them or not?

Like as I said, a meter machine for electricity that they can pay, it teaches themselves to be responsible. When you give fish , after that you teach them how to fish. That means help.

No offense. People have their own vices, it's just a matter of how we discipline ourselves. Sorry but...

This is a rugged, and special place... Here in the middle of society, is a gateway that leads up in to wild places! Remote places! Special places! These hills, like most of the foothills on this range, are special. They have a life of their own, that isnt present in other parts of California. You can believe as you will, and Im in no way trying to push my beliefs on anyone, but these places have their own spirits...you can feel them, if you have that ability. Energies that protect them, mostly...but not all of them are benevolent. Go...do special things there, do private things there, memorable things there... But it ISNT YOURS... treat it like you are a guest! ...of someone you respect greatly... Don't ever leave trash or debris of any kind. Put your cigarette butts in your pocket, and only think about smoking when inside a vehicle. If you see trash, or other people's debris, within arms reach, scoop it up...like a good guest would! Don't disrespect this place, it will push you out, or it will make sure the sheriff's drive all the way up, by putting a little suspicion in his head , to see if anyone's up there! I'm not exaggerating... And the deputies who run these areas, aren't clueless beat cops. They're gonna look right into you, and most will know if you're up to no good... But if youre there, because that's like your church...or your therapist....it will show. Don't be afraid to be honest... If you're being honest... It's a wild place, a very quiet place...and a very dark place, once...
