Pooler Recreation — Attraction in Pooler

Never really had an issue here before as far as facilities. However, I was attending my son’s practice on 12/8. I don’t know the employee’s name but I will find out later and update. I overheard her talking about a team that mostly consisted of Black boys. She thought she whispered to her friend. I heard her say that whoever (she said the guy’s name but I can’t remember) put that team together must’ve thought “oh that name sounds like a n** name” put him on that team. I couldn’t believe it. She thought she made a funny. The lady she told the “joke” to didn’t correct her, of course, she smirked too. Stop validating this mess or it will continue....

Both my kids enjoy the park and have used the facilities for T-ball, gymnastics and dance classes. Since they opened the karate place across the street I've noticed they are parking at the rec center. Not sure why a new place doesn't have enough parking for their needs, but it's really irritating to not be able to park by the play area because they're taking...

This park seems a bit run down, the grass needed to be cut and needed some work around the play area. We stopped here so our daughter could blow off some energy and it could pass as a decent park. The basketball nets needed to be replaced and a lot of standing water around the area that could be fixed with some leveling...
