Four things to address based on bad reviews: Staff, seating, atmosphere, and products.
Staff is always kind and reliable. THEY SPEAK ENGLISH, and aren't rude or disrespectful-seeing as how I'm a regular- I can probably tell you this any time I've been. Come in with a snotty attitude you will either leave happy with what you bought, or with your bad attitude. That's the way any business works.
THIS IS NOT A RESTAURANT. You aren't going to have service as if it was. That's ridiculous. This is a house remodeled into a cafe type business where if you don't get a seat then too bad. You don't go to Starbucks and expect seating wherever you want like a restaurant. They have a play room for children and free boardgames and such for adults like Scrabble and Clue. Which is really sweet! Parking is on a gravel lot which means it ISN'T PAVED, and the gravel becomes dirt in the front parking area. When dirt gets wet, it gets muddy. Don't get stuck in the mud. They aren't obligated to tow you out and they probably won't have the things to do so on hand. Their property but that doesn't mean they can tell you where to park. Most people would ignore a sign anyways.
As for the music being played "too loudly", I've never even noticed music playing.
The coffee isn't Starbucks. They have coffee made with beans then something like a frappé Starbucks based drink. If you order a latte, you're going to get a latte and it probably won't be sweet because most coffee isn't. They have a station with sugars and such if you want it sweeter. They give you what you ordered, it's not made to taste, but made to order by the coffee machine. I've never had a bad latte or frappé from FPCH even though they recently changed the recipe for frappés. One time a person I was with ordered an iced cold brew not knowing what that was (a very strong coffee) and they let me fix with some cream it so that person would like it, they weren't obligated to do that and certainly didn't have to seeing as how he got what he ordered (thank you again).
So in summary, their music isn't an issue if there's ever any that plays, seating will be an issue everywhere because not everyone can have a booth or sofa, and service + product is usually fine. Food industry is harsh but inaccurate...
Read moreI once considered Three Tree Coffee Front Porch a favorite spot, but unfortunately, the quality of both the food and service has declined significantly over time. This is not the first disappointing experience I’ve had here, but today’s visit was enough to warrant sharing.
I ordered the Flower Girl Latte, and the coffee was burnt and unpleasant. I requested a replacement, but the replacement tasted exactly the same — burnt and poorly crafted. What surprised me even more was that the barista didn’t bother to ask if the second attempt was acceptable. For a café, where the coffee should be the centerpiece, this level of quality and indifference is unacceptable.
The kolaches, too, were a disappointment. They consistently have a bitter, sour, almost rancid taste and are badly lacking in seasoning. A simple addition of salt and pepper would improve them, but the underlying quality issue remains.
The staff, unfortunately, have not made up for the shortcomings of the food. Wait times are inexplicably long, even during slow periods, and the demeanor of the employees is often unpleasant. On more than one occasion, I’ve also noticed unprofessional behavior from the manager herself — including looks of disdain that made me feel unwelcome. I’m a black woman, btw. It leaves me questioning whether there are deeper issues at play, which is troubling.
Three Tree Coffee Front Porch has the potential to be a warm and inviting community space, but the poor service, burnt coffee, and unprofessional atmosphere have overshadowed that promise. I truly hope they take steps to restore the quality and hospitality I’ve once...
Read moreNot going to lie, I am pretty disappointed. I was so Excited to try this place as I’ve had Three Tree Coffee before at a wedding from a truck and it was so good! Today unfortunately was not that case. I went it and placed my order just a medium iced latte with some holiday flavors. It took 15 minutes for me to get my drink. They did have four drinks ahead of me two baristas making them but still 15 minutes?!? The baristas seemed very friendly and were holding a great conversation with the customer in front of me which is definitely the reason it took so long. I finally received my latte and the cup wasn’t even full I tasted it, and honestly, it tasted as if the espresso was made with chemicals. It doesn’t seem as if the espresso grinder is calibrated properly, which would cause for the right pull out of the machine. As a manager of a local coffee shop myself the espresso should not taste like chemicals. I didn’t even have enough time go back and ask for a remake with the feeling it would take another 15 minutes. Very upset with this experience don’t think...
