My wife and I met at Pine Gove Park in 1971. 49 years later we live 3 blocks away on Washington Ave and walk our 2 dogs there on a daily bases. Buddy (MY DOG) looks forward every morning @ 10am & with a happy face that says Dad it's TIME ! I also played a lot of softball on a great diamond I thought of as home. The blue waters of St. Clair River and the mouth of Lake Huron opens up underneath the twin BWB crossings into our sister city Sarnia Ontario Canada. It's a wonderful place to relax & Take in the glorious view. Have a picnic, read a book, go fishing on the boardwalknd walk or just stroll along at your own leisurely pace. I could go on but it's time to close shop. Until next time, PLEASE...

After visiting Thomas Edison's Depot Museum, we headed over to Pine Grove Park and the Huron Lightship.

We arrived at the park and found a parking space and the first thing we noticed was the view.. WOW ! Very nice. When we got out of our vehicle directly in front of us was a chess table. Then there was the Huron Lightship and looking beyond was the Blue Water Bridge.

Then there was this huge boulder 🪨 to our left, so we stopped there to read the plaque. The plaque was to honor Thomas Edison's childhood in the area.

As we headed towards the Huron Lightship, a lady sitting at a picnic table was feeding a seagull.

And last was the unique stairs with beautiful bright flowers as you headed down to...

First time impressions are always the best, Very Clean and we'll kept Area of Michigan that I have never been to and will go back to, the people that live there take care of the area and I can only assume that the city and Coast Guard do their part as well if not for the bad choices our Governor has made / keeps making by kissing other races rear ends and top democratic rear ends we would have an open state and the other parks that she does not open for her hubby's boat would look as nice as this one does. I highly recommend ripping on the political folks not doing their jobs and I Recommend Port Huron any day of the week.. this is my opinion not Google's so haters of free speech...

What a beautiful park! Take in a baseball game, fish or stroll on the boardwalk. Bring a chair or sit in the comfort of your vehicle to watch commercial/private boating.. Tour the Huron Lighthouse Ship. Bring the kids play in the parks playground. Walk your fur baby along the river. Just don't forget to poop and scoop Bring a picnic or order from the Concession Stand. Ice Cream too. Plenty of parking spaces. All handicapped parking and park accessible. Porta potties available!

What a great little find for us! We are not local; just driving home from a visit to Pine Grove Christmas lights. But the food was great, the service fantastic (ask for Zach!) and the atmosphere comforting and warm. Their homemade mushroom soup was so good, and my “Smokey” burger and my husband’s Reuben tasty. Their shoestring fries hit the spot. And their had an extensive menu. Will definitely visit again!
