Terrible service every time. Tonight was the last straw. My machine malfunctioned. It displayed Call Attendant Hand Pay. I understood the situation, slot machines mess up and they will just have to hand pay me what I had the machine. After 30 minutes of waiting I went to the cashier to try to get some assistance. So then I went back to the machine and waited another 10 minutes. I'm sorry but wasting 40 minutes of my time, when I'm playing your games, which by the way pay out way less then did years ago under the previous owners, is way too much time. You lose money way more often, the only people are decent to deal with at all here are the ladies who cart around drinks.... About a month ago I brought in 2 winning scratch tickets. I walked up to the counter where they have the scanner. 3 women are standing there talking behind the counter. One of them tells me the desk is closed. Not in a nice way either. I get that it was closed, bit come on. Does anyone who works there actually do anything? Besides be uncaring and docile. So I'm in there a few days later playing slots early in the morning. Thinking ok I'll play and eventually the desk will open and I can cash in my scratchers. By time I go over there, hours later, I realize they had fell out of my pocket. I looked around and found nothing, then talked to the guys at the front to see what they could do. I explained and they said they would look and call me, I gave them my phone number. Never got a call back. I don't believe they even looked at all. I mean they have cameras everywhere. It was $57 of winning scratchers. I mean even if they gave me like $10 of slot play I would have been happy. But to do nothing is ridiculous. This boring casino has become a joke,...

Today we had a very bad experience here. We had gone there to enjoy a dinner. The waitress Stephanie who served us behaved very badly with us. She was racist. I ordered the Tuna basmati bowl. We told her to let the chef know I would like it throughly cooked that means we specifically told her I would like the tuna to be WELL DONE but was served as rare done. We politely asked her if she can ask the chef to get me the well done tuna. She made faces and took the order back and after a few minutes brought the order as the same as before. I showed her the inside of the tuna iis still rare. She again showed reluctance and faces and did not even say sorry. She asked if I want to order something else. So I ordered ribs. My husband and our friend finished their meal in this process of me getting what I want to eat. We were waiting for a long period to get my order. The employee Stephanie passed by our table and we politely asked why is it’ taking so long for a ribs order (my family consists of chefs from five star hotels and luxury cruise liners). The server Stephanie loudly started insulting us in front of other customers saying “it takes time to cook give it a minute etc etc.” she spoiled our evening. Ir feels like we spend money to get insults from this racist server Stephanie. She is a super racist person who should not be serving public where people like me who is not a white person may come. We pay money for dinner. We usually come there for dinner there are some older ladies who have served us with so much care and warmth. But this server Stephanie made our dinner today night (August 14th) a very bad experience. We will not be visiting this...

Yesterday I went to Match restaurant at the Starlight Casino in Sarnia for the second time. On my first visit we were seated on the patio. It took our server over 20 minutes to come take our drink orders, and another 40 minutes to actually provide any drinks. Our food was a bit better for timing, approximately 25 minutes. When the "Manager" stopped by our table, he came across as arrogant, and simply told us that they had only been open a couple weeks, what did we expect? He spent the rest of our time there avoiding our table like the plague. Our server tried to make up for our bad experience, but she was truly limited with what she could do to make it better. Yesterday, we went back, hoping for a better experience. We were seated inside almost immediately upon arrival, but had no server come by our table for almost 25 minutes. She came only within earshot to say she'd be with us soon, and came back about 10 minutes later. She took our drink order and tried to leave without even asking if we were ready to order our meal. The drinks and food came in a timely manner, however once we have them, our server never bothered coming by to see if we needed anything. In fact, she came and refilled our water, only after we asked another server, and never bothered to take our plates, which we had placed our utensils and napkins on to indicate we were done. Once she removed them, she waited another 15 minutes before asking if we wanted anything else or our bills. The staff needs better training. Management needs to be better trained. Food quality and taste is excellent. So one...

I always wondered about this casino when I viewed it from the Port Huron, MI side of the St Clair River. It seemed run down and empty. Quite often I thought it was abandoned. I traveled to Sarnia, today, and found to my surprise that it was open. After a terrible experience with Hiawatha Casino, I thought I would try Starlight. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the casino play area. The restaurant, MATCH Eatery and Public House, was a nice addition to this establishment. The casino was clean, the games were plentiful, the casino bar was large and stocked and the games were newer, yet they had older games, too. There were many people playing, but it wasn't overcrowded in the least. The staff was helpful and pleasant. Bathrooms were clean and large. The slot games were fun to play as you didn't lose everything in the first 15 minutes. Spent a few hours playing and still came home with money...even after paying for a wonderful dinner at MATCH Eatery. As for scenery, what better place to walk alongside the St Clair River and cast a long look at the Blue Water Bridge. Lovely, paved brick (boardwalk) area that goes from one end of the casino to the other and then some. It was great to see the sun setting over Michigan. Saw some freighters chugging along, too. At nighttime, the Blue Water Bridge lights up and casts gorgeous blue/purple and amber colors across the river. So glad I checked out this casino and didn't give it up as abandoned. Can't wait to go back to Starlight again in the future.

Starlight Casino Point Edward presents a welcoming and stylish environment, perfect for a relaxed evening out. The casino’s modern design and ambient lighting contribute to a comfortable atmosphere, ideal for both casual and seasoned gamers. The staff are consistently friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant experience. One of the standout features is the provision of complimentary soft drinks, a thoughtful touch that enhances the overall comfort. The convenience of free and abundant parking is a significant advantage, eliminating the stress of finding a spot. The on-site restaurant offers a diverse menu, providing a convenient dining option without having to leave the premises. The well-maintained facilities and the overall clean aesthetic contribute to a positive impression. While specific gaming experiences can vary, the consistent quality of service and amenities makes Starlight Casino Point Edward a reliable choice for entertainment. The combination of friendly staff, practical amenities, and a relaxing atmosphere creates a solid foundation for an enjoyable visit.

No air conditioning and it was extremely humid in there. Hope that gets fixed before the real hot weather arrives. Update June 23 2018: still no a/c in many sections but the new owners are making good use of the space. The old bar is closed (good-bye surly staff) and the new restaurant "Match" is open. Menu is completely new and the service was good here. Food was great. Only thing is I find the music too loud - it would be nice to not have to yell over the meal. Update: the place has a/c now. Love that I can sit and eat and watch the big ships pass by. March 9, 2019. We're sitting in Match Eatery. The music is so loud (radio) that you can't even talk and the type of music is horrible - heavy rock is not good dining music. The margherita pizza tasted like a frozen pizza. The same with the onion rings. Food used to be really good but certainly not today.
