Didn't actually play, but I was in here a couple times just for looking around and checking out various stores in the mall. Dimension XR seems pretty good, I thought there was a higher minimum, but the minimum group size is 2 people (dunno what games you'd have access to, though.) There's laser tag, "escape rooms", various fantasy and sci-fi stuff, plus some ""Harry Potter"" looking thing that I saw some kids playing. For anyone just watching, like parents or passerby or whatever, there's screens to watch what the players are doing, and the floorplan is pretty wide, they also have some kind of private party room in the back, though I don't know if it's just for birthdays or if you actually PLAY back there, or if it's just an area to sing Happy Birthday while you blow out candles on a cake. They seem to do a lot of deals and freebies, even their business cards seem to always include one-off deals. I can't get a good view of what headsets they're using these days. They WERE using Quest 2 headsets, but whatever these new ones are are black, so I couldn't get a good look at them.
Also, I don't know what they're planning to do with it, but I think there's some kind of joint thing they'll do with PenAxe across the hall? Whatever it is, it's not ready yet. Heh, laser tag, escape rooms, optional beer, and...
Read moreI took my son to Dimension XR in Port Orchard today and had a wonderful experience. The two individuals working today were positive and helpful individuals throughout our whole process. They gave us ideas and suggested other games to play as we progressed through our hour of fun. The cooking game was fast paced but it is definietly fun and can get quite messy in game. I recommend atleast 4 people for the Cops vs. Robbers game as with two of us, each death was pretty quick. It was still fun though! Cyber Shock was a fun Mashup of Beat Saber like foot movement with a 1st Person shooter. Arrowsong brought you back to old school RPG days shooting orcs with Arrows.
There is plenty of space and I never once was concerned with running into someone from the birthday group that was there.
All in all, we had a wonderful experience and look forward to coming back in the future. Looking forward to trying one of their...
Read moreDon't let the location and warehouse feel fool you. It was a blast! The area is spacious to allow for ultimate movement, and the equipment was in great shape. Th VR was so real and immersive, I even tried to lean on a wall a few times. When done with VR, there is a huge area for pool, axe throwing, and all kinds of free games and huge tables for food. They don't serve food, but the sandwich and coffee house in the same building has amazing food and drinks to bring up, and the locals were raving about the hotdogs. We had a great time and ended up spending 4...
