I came to First Lutheran in 2008 and I have watched the ups and downs with changing of Pastors. One thing though that has consistently been at First Lutheran is people who really care about others sharing Christ's words to love one another and accept one another. Unfortunately everywhere you go there is going to be someone (usually unknowingly) that may not make a person feel welcome or inadvertently says something that hurts their feelings. We have to always remember we are not perfect but constantly striving. If we have hurt anyone in anyway here at First Lutheran, PLEASE let us know and give us the opportunity to make it right. FLCC has ALWAYS had many ministries to help others. Pastor Adrian and his family have been here for 3 years now and really strives to help all feel welcome here. He stresses Faith5: Share, Read, Talk, Pray, Bless. Reaching out to the community sharing Christ love. We have a visitation pastor and a youth Coordinator. We also have the Noah's Ark downstairs for tiny to after school care and they do a marvelous job. We have the Jubilee Community Garden for all, Family Kitchen open to everyone free, Community Aid Fund with a Community Resource person. Dedicated Sunday School Director. FLCC is constantly finding ways to reach out to others and minister to those here...
Read moreMy wife, Carrie and daughter Victoria (6), and I have been members for FLCC for over 7 years (before Victoria was born). FLCC is a very welcoming church that does many things to help enjoy the local community. The services are honest and sincere and relate to everyday life, and being a part of FLCC gives everyone a sense of community. We had a new Pastor arrive last year, Pastor Adrian, and he is really great. He is works really well with the children (having one of his own that is only a year old). He brings an energy to the church, enthusiasm to support the community, and a sense of humor that puts many serious topics into context. Anyone interested in possibly finding a church in which they can join and become part of the community should take a few hours on Sunday morning and...

I use a wheelchair, and the building is perfectly accommodating. The restroom is very clean and barrier free according to federal guidelines. This church is exemplary in it's faithfulness to mission. Top notch...
