This is gonna be a long one. My husband and I rented a gaming laptop. When we rented it we were told we wouldn't have to pay until January, because of a deal going on. We signed up for our payments to be due on the 15th because most of our bills fell on the first pay each month. We get a call on January 2nd asking when we are gonna pay. We tell them the 19th because that's when we will be able to & it's closer to the 15th we agreed on. Only to be told it's in the system as the first of each month, and it's fine if we pay it after the 15th but they will have to tack on a late fee. Okay whatever, first that's not our fault or problem? We signed up for the 15th not the first and they should have changed it. So fast forward, every single month we have to pay an EXTRA 30$ for the late fee. That's not okay first off. Paying that late fee every month cut into our budget and put our funds really put of wack. We get attitude EVERY time we tell them we have to wait to pay it because they continued to call around the 1st of each month. Now, this month. August we got behind, we thought we would be able to pay it either pay this month but unfortunately I had to go to the er with an infection in my face, so that cut into our ability pay Aaron's. So we get a call today about it and understandably they want the payment, we asked if they could wait until the 3rd and this manager is talking about paying August and Septembers payment together? I dont think so. He very well confirmed we were ok paying on the 15th with a late fee so why is he demanding a payment before its due?? It's not our fault yall messed up when entering our information, we should have NEVER Had to pay the late fees and every late fee we had should be forward to cover August and septembers bill. But no, it's somehow our fault?? Anyway, we dont care. The laptop will be going back to them at our earliest convenience. But the kicker is?? My husband tried to explain that we are a one income family that he had been struggling and what does the owner do? MOCK him. He literally ridiculed my husband on the phone saying something along the lines of he doesn't care what problems arose and that just did it for me. I'm taking this to the BBB. I don't care who you think you are, you DO NOT ridicule and talk down to customers?! Ps Chet Chad whatever, I do apologize on my end for getting snippy in the background but you were not being professional, especially asking us to pay 300$ some when half of that wasn't due yet per the original agreement my husband and I signed. Maybe you should get your employees in check, they're the ones who entered it wrong and led to this catastrophe because I know we could have afforded it every month if it hadn't been for that extra 30$ for the late fee EVERY month. I will NEVER reccomend this aarons but I highly reccomend the aarons down in York. They're very professional, more understanding and much more patient. I also have to say I really had taken a liking to this Aaron's and the owner when we had first signed up, even a few months after. But these last few months have been absolutely horrible, and dont get service from Jason (I think his name is) either because he's got a short temper and is snarky too. Overall this place is gross. I got it 11/22 and they took my first payment on 12/3 which should have been 1 week from the laptop, they took the full 2 week payment, second payment, same thing. Took the laptop back, manager fast talked again saying they didn’t overcharge me, if I had the laptop for a month and I paid a full month but only should have paid 3 weeks, that sounds like an overcharge to me and then refusing to give me my money back. I was also a very long time customer, paid at least $10,000 to this store and this is how ur treated. Doesn’t matter how long of a customer u r, ur still treated like dirt. Then been trying to call the store for 30 minutes, they r refusing to answer the phone, but let me skip that payment and they’re calling u and showing up at ur door!
