Myrtle Falls is one of those places that feels like a little slice of paradise. Located within Mount Rainier National Park, the waterfall offers a stunning view with the majestic Mount Rainier as a backdrop. The easy, accessible trail makes it a perfect spot for hikers of all levels, whether you’re just passing through or on a longer trek.
The falls themselves are beautiful – the water cascades over a series of rocks, creating a serene, peaceful atmosphere. If you’re lucky enough to visit on a clear day, the mountain’s towering peak looms in the distance, making for the ultimate photo op. It’s no wonder this spot is a popular choice for photographers and nature lovers alike.
The walk to the falls is short, but it’s a fantastic way to experience the beauty of the park without too much effort. The surrounding wildflowers, the sound of the water, and the fresh mountain air make it a refreshing and peaceful escape.

Read moreMyrtle Falls is one of the most beautiful spots in Mount Rainier. The trail to the falls is short, only about 10–15 minutes, and really easy for everyone. The view of the waterfall with the mountain in the backdrop is stunning and definitely worth the stop.
There’s another trail that continues further up Mount Rainier which I couldn’t take this time because of limited time, but if you can, it’s worth exploring. My tip would be not to try to cover five different mountains in one trip, instead spend a couple of days just at Rainier. There’s so much to see here, from Myrtle Falls to Crystal Lake and plenty of other beautiful trails.
An easy hike, incredible scenery, and one of the highlights of the park.

If you only have a few hours you must visit myrtle falls, the views are astonishing. I’ve hiked to this spot a few times and just have to stop and thank our creator for making such beautiful sights for us to enjoy. It’s a short hike up hill from the parking lot but it’s so worth it. Come and see it for yourself you won’t be disappointed, just please stay on the trails, take trash with you, don’t feed wildlife, and soak in all the Beauty this...
