This is a very expensive “grab to go” cafe! We had two grab and go sandwiches and one coffee - totaled to $40. They have one microwave where you can heat the sandwich. Subway sandwiches are better in price and taste compared to what they were selling. They only have two tables to sit inside but you can grab a seat at the lobby area in the Inn. There are a few tables setup outside too.

The only place in Rainier NP where we found some vegetarian food. Not a lot of options except a couple of pastries, packed cut fruits & snacks, which are all pricey. We had almond croissant and chips. There is a microwave and toaster where you can warm up the pastries you buy.

The beverages at Tatoosh don’t have to be this bad, but they are. Can someone please let them know what a chai is, and maybe get them some better coffee? Service was fine.

The products they sell are okay but service is pretty horrible. Bigger issue is the price. $3 for 4 apple slices or $8.25 for a serve yourself can of beer? They also can't figure out the cash register or the beer taps. Ohhh and to top it all off they have a bait and switch tactic on prices. Something labeled as 5.75 on the shelf gets rung up as 8.25 at the register (aforementioned beer). But hey it's all you got up here, buy some food and bevvies before you get...

If you skipped breakfast like we did in order to arrive early enough to find parking, head over to the Tatoosh Café and grab some basic breakfast items. They’ve got grab-and-go food you microwave yourself, but I went with a plain toasted bagel and cream cheese — and honestly, it was the best bagel I’ve ever had. Hunger and altitude, maybe.

Look, what do you expect? It’s ok. They sell food, people. You’re here for the mountain, not fine dining, and the café...

This café is usually very good whenever we’ve visited throughout the year. Definitely worth stopping by for their coffee, ice creams, and a nice variety of grab-and-go dishes. There was one unusual day when the entire Paradise Visitor Center and nearby restaurants were out of water (toilets closed, and even this café couldn’t serve coffee). But aside from that rare instance, every other visit has been great. A solid spot to recharge when you’re...
