My first appointment at Graffiti Hair Salon was 08/02/23 with Cambrie Roussell for all over hair color on my short pixie cut hair. I showed her several pictures of my red hair color to give her an idea of what I wanted. She said she would have to bleach it & I told her I have not bleached my hair over 30 years. I finally convinced her to ask someone for help, which she did. She said they have a red color line & she does not have to bleach my hair so I agreed to try it. After she applied the color, I sat with the red hair dye on my head for at least an hour without anyone checking on me. I honestly thought she forgot about me & I told her that when she returned to shampoo my head. No one has ever left color on my hair for more than 30-35 minutes. After she dried it, she could tell I was not happy with it & she said I could come back later for her to tone it down. My roots were glowing a pretty neon red. Cambrie is a polite young lady & I actually tried to make her feel better by saying that reds normally fade quickly & that I pray that will be the case with me this time. Then, when I checked out after 1.5 hr., I was charged $121.00 which I thought was a bit overpriced for all over color ONLY. No cut, trim or styling at all. I questioned the cost of a haircut & it would have been an additional $55.00 totaling $176.00! I told Cambrie I would never return because of the bad experience & expense. The salon is clean & is laid out well, but I would not consider it to be a high end salon. I was not going to post a review because I truly prefer posting what a wonderful experience I had & I try to be positive. Sadly, when I was walking at 5:00 AM this week(2 weeks later), I had red hair dye all over my shirt & could not get it out. It is normal to have red dye on a towel after washing it a few times, but I have NEVER had color literally ruin a shirt especially while...
Read moreSo I don’t usually leave reviews, but I had to take a moment to share how amazing my hairstylist Taylor is! Let me start from the beginning. I was on the hunt for a good stylist because the one I’d been going to just wasn’t it. I was spending a good amount of money and honestly had no idea what I was paying for my hair wasn’t healthy, the color was never right and I wasn’t happy. So I went to this salon’s Instagram, checked out all the stylists’ work (who are all great by the way) but Taylor’s really caught my eye. I decided to give her a shot... and I’m SO freaking glad I did! Taylor got my hair healthy again by actually explaining what steps I needed to take and how to properly care for it. Recently, I told her I wanted to go from black to red. Instead of just jumping into it, she was so honest and thoughtful. She genuinely cared about the health of my hair not just the end result or the money. She did a test strand first and saw that while my hair handled the bleach well overall, my ends didn’t. She told me we’d need to cut a good bit to make it work, and she encouraged me to take time to think about it since she knew I wasn’t a big fan of shorter hair. In the end, I went for it and it was the BEST decision. I’m so grateful to have a stylist like Taylor who actually listens, educates, and works her magic! Since the transformation, everyone I see has been complimenting my hair. People are saying things like: “That color is 100% YOU!” and “Wow, your hair looks so much fuller, you look amazing!” I’ve never felt more confident. If you’re looking for an incredible stylist, Taylor is it. She’s not just talented she’s genuinely one of the sweetest, kindest people. I actually look forward to getting my hair done now because I get to have my “Taylor chats.” Amazing hairstylist + amazing human? What more...
Read moreabsolutely destroyed my hair. i had been using a black/brown hair gloss for a couple of months and it had to turned too dark for my liking and i wanted to go to a lighter brown. i told the stylist i was ok with coming back for however many sessions it took to get my hair light cause i knew it would but no. she decided to rush it and “try” to do it in two sessions instead even though i said multiple times i wanted to prioritize my hair health. honestly i should not have even gone back in for the second session cause the whole time i was there for the first one i could hear her talking very loudly to other stylists saying things like “i don’t know what to do next” “what do you think i should do now” if she wasn’t able to do what i had asked for she should’ve said that and let me go somewhere else that could. i sat with bleach on my hair for way too long at both sessions and after the second session she couldn’t even take a few minutes to cut the dead ends off after quite literally frying my hair off which then made the breakage go all the way up my hair. i couldn’t wash my hair for 2 weeks without chunks falling out and not to mention how after the first wash after having it done the top half of my hair turned blonde while the bottom half stayed brown. its been a month and i went to another salon and even she said my hair was too damaged to even put a color on top because it would immediately wash out but she thankfully cut off the dead hair 4inches btw. i tried messaging the salon to ask for refund because what i got was completely not what i wanted and they haven’t had the decency to even respond, if i could give 0 stars i would. i spent years getting my hair health back and it was long and silky and beautiful but now its dull, fried, and broken after just a few hours...
