Best Vietnamese I've had in Baton Rouge. The only meat I eat is seafood, so that can be a problem at spots with limited menus. I always get the tofu noodle bowl (bun) add shrimp and a fried egg. The lemongrass tofu is fire x1000. Decent sauce selection, they have dark soy sauce now. The instant coffee with the business people getting into a helicopter (G6, I think,) is the best thing since a peanut butter and crack sandwich. It WILL wake you up and is superb over ice. No complaints from me except it's priced higher (but much closer to Gonzales) than my other go-to Asian market...
Read moreThe selection in this store was really good, and its interior appearance is great. The prices were also pretty good, and the staff was friendly.
The one downside for me was the bubble tea area. There was a lack of options, such as drink size and sweetness. Also, even though no ice was offered as an option, the drink cup was only partially filled as a result. Finally, the boba was hard, like a thick rubber.
I will definitely go back for the store, but I will be avoiding the bubble tea and refreshments area until I see further...
Read moreUPDATE: They moved 3 units down in the same shopping center & are in a much larger space. There are even more grocery items, more fresh produce, & an expanded dining area. The kitchen is open and serving delicious food again. All of this with the same wonderful customer service!
Such a great place! Lots of hard to find grocery items & fun snacks. Pho is wonderful & the staff are very friendly and helpful! Deli has been closed since Covid, can't wait until it...
