Expansive park off of Hartford with a little bit of everything. There’s a bike bath, basketball courts, soccer fields, a playground, a skate park, a beautiful mural, and trails through the woods, up a hill, and mowed through tall grassland. It also runs along the Woonasquatucket River, so it features a vibrant riparian ecosystem (cultivated by the work of the WRWC!). Between the river, the grassy field, and the forested area, there is a ton of wildlife to see here. Parking can be tough to find if you don’t know where it is, but there’s plenty of it. There’s a huge lot at the end of Heath St that goes to the courts and soccer fields, and a much smaller one off Glenbridge Ave at an entrance to the bike path. While it’s an awesome park, there are some things I think could be better. There are a ton of winding, intersecting trails on the western half of the park, but no posted trail map. Some of the trails through the tall grasses are overgrown, and the ones on the hillside are super steep. I have a feeling that these are meant for mountain biking, but there were no signs posted. Just be careful and keep your eyes out if you go up there. There’s also quite a bit of litter in the wooded area which is a bummer. Despite all this, I really do like this park a lot. There’s always a ton of activity going on, people are friendly, and it balances the line between recreational park and natural areas in a way few other parks do. It’s also connected to another great park, Riverside Park, by a bridge over Route 6. A great place to spend an afternoon!

I adore this place. These are picture over the years over visiting the park. The park sometimes have soccer events during the weekends- Food trucks and music here and there. A small adult gym in the back and the bike trail follows through this park, as well as a skate park!. It's always beautiful in the summer and still nice to walk through during the fall and winter. Love this place. Love that It's a part of the community and it's very much needed for the community.

Nice place to hang out and enjoy your day playing with the kids without worrying about them running into the street! Good pick-up games of basketball, a nice big field for soccer, kite flying, and football. There's also a track for a good run, walking your dog, or riding bikes with the kids, plus a skate park past the river! 🏀⚽️🐕‍🦺🏃‍♀️🪁🏞️ #FamilyFun #ParkLife #OutdoorActivities #Kids #Sports #Recreation

Nice neighborhood park to hang out. A swing set and a basketball court (snall) are among the things available on the playground. Huge trees provide shaded spots to lounge on the grass, if you wish to forego the benches. There was a frozen lemonade truck and an ice cream truck present. Perfect for cooling down after playing around. There's also enough room to either set up a tent or tailgate. Basically, a nice little spot capable of handling whatever outdoor activities you...
