La Fogata Foodtruck — Restaurant in Providence

Came for taco takeout as apart of the RI Food Fights passport promotion and received two birria tacos a side of birria consommé. The consommé was amazing and the tacos were pretty good although I would have preferred them to have a bit more salt which is strange as I find Mexican food to be generally salty but I see this as a benefit to those who are watching their sodium intake. The tacos had plenty of cheese, a good amount of cilantro and onion, the tortillas and meat were flavorful.

Plenty of street parking and outdoor seating available. There seemed to be a converted RV with tables you could sit in if it's too cold or raining. Not sure if there is a bathroom on premises. Loud, fun music was playing. Service was very friendly but it should be noted that it's CASH...

i don’t even leave reviews but i used to come here multiple times a week and have given this food truck over 10 chances because ive loved it and the food so much but the quality and service have gone down tremendously. it’s rare to get a quality papas tornado, most of the time they’re soggy/falling off the stick. sometimes the tortillas taste chewy and the consommé lacks flavor now. i almost always eat it as soon as i get back in the car and it’s rare that it’ll even hit the same way it used too. they’ve definitely gotten lazy...
