Southwest Motors Event Center — Attraction in Pueblo

Convention location free, open to public. This yearly, JW organized, Bible based, 3 day educational program is top notch! Audio and video presentations appeal to a large audience that all in the family will enjoy. Parking for HC and elderly or infirm with a drop off at the door & Floor Seating for WC and special needs. There are Attendants that will direct traffic in the parking lot and inside to help you find seats. This facility & the restrooms were cleaned in advance and kept clean by the many volunteers. There is a location for nursing moms and their children, first aid station, and you can eat your packed lunch here during intermision (no glass containers allowed for safety reasons) The theme this year is around having patience, very timely! I gained much needed encouragement. All are invited to listen. The dress code is clean & respectful, but not fancy. Be comfortable and feel welcomed. Went to see the Harlem Globetrotters. They put on a great show. We really enjoyed it. Too bad, only about 1/4 of the seats were sold and full. Hopefully, they will come back. The event staff were friendly and did a great job. The facility was clean. It's a shame that a 20 ounce water cost $5.25 (more than a case of water at the grocery stores). A hamburger smothered in green chili (a slopper) cost $13.00. Business 101: raising prices because of low turnout only causes lower turnout and eventually going out of business and bankruptcy. Make your prices more reasonable to attract more people. Thus, more turnout means more profit for you and the performers. We were on the Fairgrounds for a week with 500 of our closest RVing friends. Nice improvements, we stayed on new lot with full hookups. One hiccup with power for us and fairgrounds staff got on it immediately. Newmar Kountry Klub convention used many of the buildings and our personal view was that the staff worked hard to meet our needs. Well done.
