It's a great simple trail, mostly shaded under lots of trees. Can be slippery in areas after recent rainfall and stay a bit wet, so be cautious of that. There are exposed roots, rocks, and bridges to navigate too, it's left quite natural, so this isn't something I would consider stroller friendly or accessible for those with mobility aids (from the parking lot or only has stairs to get down to the picnic area as well.) A great short trail for young kids, with lots of info cards about different plants you will see along the way. We put our toddlers on swimwear and let them splash and play, bringing a few water toys as well with us, in the warmer months.
Our family loves how beautiful of a walk it is. Read moreJust got a few minutes between things and wanted to check out this trail so I didn't get the chance to do the whole thing. However the portion I saw was nice. The trail was relatively flat but there are several bridges that you go over. Some of which are little more than super sturdy pallets. It has several permanent markers that talk about birds, the forest and the water, etc. Then there are smaller markers that are metal with treated paper in them explaining what some of the trees are and what purposes they serve for the animals.
