I had purchased a supplement back in august here and shortly after purchase realized I had more at home than i thought so I decided to just save it until next fly season comes around. I went in last weekend and asked the girl at the register if by chance I brought the supplement back would i be able to return it that far back, she was very nice and said since I was new to their store (I came from Ohio a few months back) they would return it. Fast forward to today i brought the supplement in and spoke to an older woman at the register whom I told about my situation and asked if what the previous person had told me was correct or not. She told me she didnt know but their receipts state a 30 day return policy which I told her I understood. She called back to a different person to ask about returning the product and with all of us present told him "I am not doing this our receipts state 30 days, its up to you", It was incredibly uncomfortable. He looked and looked at the product and went back to talk to another person, while he was gone i said i would take a store credit as well if possible , she told me "theres no such thing as store credit here", again very blunt. the man came back and said they would return it this time which i thanked him and i told him i would remember their policies in the future, i told him we only have tractor supplies where i come from and have ever shopped at a souther states before, the woman behind the counter hollered and said "dont ever say that name in this store!!" it was incredibly obvious how frustrated/burnt out she was. unfortunatley customer service is the game in these type of jobs, if i spoke to a client with her tone and her lack of communication skills in my profession i would be fired, i...
Read moreI walked in last week around 6:30 only to see a few of the people smoking their vape pens in the front desk. Mainly Sarah, Ryan and someone else i haven't seen before. I come in often and they all know me. Once i came in they quickly hid them as smoke came out of their noses. Very unimpressed. They were rude....and wow the folks out back smell like nicotine and literally smoke as they are talking to me asking for the receipt. I'm just unimpressed. They were so rude and had zero politeness to them. The new hire es, (summer employees i don't know) are actually better, but still are slow to answer my questions i have about products which is also kinda upsetting but understandable. I'm just not happy and won't be coming back. Very poor work environment - especially with all the cursing i hear...
Read moreThe staff is happy to take special orders, and they always call when the order is in. The manager I think is Rick - if he doesn't have what you want, he will order it for you. This store is the definition of good customer service. I agree with a previous reviewer who stated that the store has moved somewhat away from the farm/horse clientele, and is now more of a plant/garden store, but that does not take away from the helpfulness of the staff. There are numerous businesses in Purcellville and Leesburg that could learn valuable lessons from the manner in which this Southern States...
