Market Burger Fries & Shakes — Restaurant in Purcellville

I stopped by Market Burger with friends while biking out towards Purcellville from Reston. Simply put: the food is amazing, the prices are reasonable, and the service is acceptable. We walked in right before it got really busy -- a good sign that the restaurant is popular with the locals. You've got standard fare of burgers and fries but a lot of the entrees have a unique twist about them. And at $7-$9 for a burger with a ton of complimentary toppings, how can you complain?

What I Liked: Falafel Veggie Burger - Goat cheese, tzatziki sauce, lettuce, and pickled red onions all come together nicely. The goat cheese was not as creamy as it should be and was a bit overpowering but overall this was a pleasant burger. 4/5

Sweet Potato Fries - The fries are simply amazing and probably my favorite item at Market Burger. They're sliced potato instead of your usual fries and the maple mustard is so good. 5/5

The only thing I wished for is a larger variety of milkshakes as there's not much too choose from. The ability to mix and match your own shake ingredients would also be a welcome addition. While there are also a ton of toppings for your burger, it would nice to have more pre-selected burger variations.

I was in purcellville virginia yesterday on other business but since it was lunchtime and i hadn't eaten i decided to check this place out. What a great surprise! I originally was just going to try their chocolate milkshake but then i saw their enticing menu and decided to try their burger too. for one price you can choose a number of extras free so i added sauted mushrooms, grilled onions, a slice of cheese and bbq sauce (there are other items listed for a small charge.) it sure smelled good on the grill. when the waitress brought everything out there were french fries and homemade sweet potato chips on my tray too and a container of their special mustard. She sweetly explained: "You just gotta have fries and chips with our burger. No charge for them or the mustard." it all took me way down memory lane because everything was so mouth-watering delicious, from the thick shake to the high-quality beef: I haven't had burger, fries and shake that good in a very long time. I now want to find other reasons to get back to purcellville and this restaurant. by the way, parking is easy and the place was clean...

I had been twice to this store before the pandemic and really enjoyed the quality. Today I ordered to go and I’m completely disappointed of what I got. I live in Purcellvile, in town, about three minutes far from the restaurant. When I arrived home immediately was ready to “enjoy “ my food with my son, but it was completely the opposite. My sandwich had almost liquid lettuce inside, was draining “tomato juice” impossible to hold in the hands, like dripping soup. The “grilled mushrooms” tasted like canned mushrooms and the whole thing was Very salty! The mix of Fried sweet potatoes and fries was extremely soft, not crispy at all and with tons of salt, imposible to eat!. I was so hungry, but I throw away al the fries and sweet potatoes and half of my sandwich. My son’s hamburger was just acceptable, but sadly, would say a quarter pounder from McD. would had been more enjoyable. My advice, in this moments of pandemics, you would be more focused on quality than ever before!
