So beautiful. Years of history with the area occupied originally by Native American tribes, then English settlers, and now, a very diverse population -- yet so much of the area is still well preserved as it was before outsiders arrived.

There is Black's Creek where the tides were used to run a grist mill. There's the beautiful Wollaston beach where clams were dug and fish were caught. There is a salt marsh and meadows along the way.

Today, kids take sailing lessons on the lake -- and there's canoeing, picnics, and swimming.

On the beach, some of the best fried clams and scallops around. There is a beautiful boardwalk with lots of social activity, walkers, joggers, dogs, and kids. Along the way, you can read history and interesting facts. And there's playgrounds and public bathrooms, too.

Not far from the Quincy Shores Reservation is the original Colonel Josiah Quincy house built in 1770 and the Dorothy Quincy historic house. Amazing and informative tours offered! Both individuals had connections with Colonel John Quincy for whom the City of Quincy is named.

Also, there is the tour of President John Adams' estate, birth place, summer home, and burial grounds. Not to be missed.

Quincy is such an amazing city - urban, yet suburban, with lots of history, restaurants, hills, beaches, parks, bike paths, wildlife -- and plenty of foods to try and...

The 2.3-mile Wollaston Beach at Quincy Shore Reservation is the largest public beach in the Boston harbor, popular for its jogging & biking trail. Additionally, Caddy Park on the beach's southern end has more than 15 acres of fields and marsh, as well as a play area, lookout tower, and picnic tables. To the north is Moswetuset Hummock, a National Historic Site, which was in the 1600's a summer campsite for the Massachusett tribe. It's now a mix of woodland trails and...

Quincy Shores Reservation is a beautiful area located in North Quincy. There is light hiking that is great for families and pets—or families with pets! Additionally, Quincy Shores Reservation is great for an afternoon stroll, reading a book, having a picnic, you name it. This area is joy and light. The views are especially breathtaking during sunset. I...
