Read moreTeens enjoyed the adventure course and the zip line. They did the adventure course on a Wednesday, very small group and engaged with the guides a lot. Including poking in tarantulas holes which I would never do.
The teens came back with my 74 yr old mom and did the zipline on Thursday. She found all of the stairs and the quick pace challenging. It was a large group and they kept it moving. But she said she would do it again but she would like a "senior version" with a slower pace and an educational tour about the history and ecology. I told her that's what the actual hiking tours do but I'm just sharing with you all in case you're looking to add another service. Anyway, a fun outdoor ACTIVE experience for the family.
The ladies in the office are very friendly, used to dealing with all kinds of folks, and bilingual. Tours are at set times, like 1pm, 3pm etc (see the website) and last 1-1.5 hours or so, so plan your trip/day around that. Get there about 15 mins early to be the rush and the folks with touristy attitudes. There are several eateries and an artsy district nearby downhill, and one restaurant nearby uphill. The driveway is VERY steep and narrow with parking at the top. Take your time, you'll be fine.
My daughter and I drove into El Yunque for some sights and photo ops while the rest of the family did the zipline, so if you have young/old people or folks not interested in your group, you can spend some time in El Yunque, which is beautiful and has some food and souvenir places and great photo ops. Very twisty, narrow road so just take your...
Read moreBest Family Experience Ever! Ty was very helpful and helped to make this a very memorable experience. My family of 5 (my husband and I and our 3 kids) were visiting Puerto Rico to celebrate our 8th grade daughter's graduation in April 2024. I was quite nervous and enjoyed the first 2 zipline ice breaker lines but got nervous and chose not to participate anymore. The entire team made me feel comfortable and after seeing my family come back from the canopy lines, I was encouraged to jump back in and complete the other lines in the canopy. It was such a fun experience and the staff helped me to feel at ease, and helped me to realize that happiness was on the other side of fear. This was our first time ziplining as a family and we would definitely go back and do this again. The process was quite simple, we bought tickets online and ensured that we aligned with all requirements (closed toed shoes) and after check in, the staff helped us to Don all the safety gear. A little note, the drive up to this location is very steep. Another reason I really enjoyed this experience was because my 8 year old son was able to participate. We were told by another zip line place in PR that there were height and age restrictions that would have preclude my son from participating. However this location allowed us to make this an amazing family memory. Safety was a number 1 priority and they even gave us ice cold water to...
