Caribbean Trading Company — Local services in Río Grande

On our trip back to the Wyndham Rio Mar from experiencing a beautiful waterfall at the top of the mountain, we stumbled upon this little place. Risell immediately greeted us and offered us some coffee without knowing whether we were just looking like most probably are or not. With her wonderful attention to us and great conversation we ended up leaving with a number of items for family back home.

The shop itself offers a great variety of items and not just your typical souvenir shop stuff. They have handmade items from a variety of artists, some cool jewelry which I hadn't seen anywhere else along with a good mix of liquors to suit most anyone.

Prices are pretty normal for a shop of this kind I thought.

Great selection, better than any other souvenir place we saw on the island. But what REALLY made our visit to this place so special was the gracious lady at the register who took the time to suggest some really cool spots in the outskirts of El Yunque and even wrote down the names for us.

I came into this souvenir shop couple of days before leaving bought me a musk fragrance oil tried to open it and the top broke. When into the store the next day to get a top replacement. The guy working there said he vas out of the oil but that as soon as he get some he will send me one for free. I really appreciate great customer service but if you are not going follow through don't tell the customer you will.
