This place has the worst service ever. My daughter and l ordered our burgers well done and instead was served a burger that was not fully cooked in the middle. spoke to lady server since our original server turned into a bartender and just forgot about us. Explained situation to lady server and she gave me a nasty attitude and told me there wasn't anything wrong with the order and told me to just pay my ticket and leave. I told her I wanted a discount since unable to finish meal and only ate half of my side but she took the plate away and said we can make you another one but will take 20 min to cook or I can talk to owner about discount-came back without my plate and said she would only take $5 off of my $15.50 charge for burger- while I was disappointed and spoke with the owner, while I was discussing the situation the server took my daughter plate and bought out the plate bc she too also had an uncooked burger when the owner stuck her fingers in the burger and said there was nothing wrong wit, but still expected me to pay full price for half eaten burgers that were mangled by her fingers then I go to table and my daughter asked where the quesadilla plate went bc she never came back with it- I asked server where half the quesadillas go and she said she threw them out then said we weren't going to be able to get another discount even though it was her fault for throwing out all 3 half eaten plates...

Mixed feelings... we went there 3!!! times. First time we grabbed empanadas on the way to El Yunque and they were great. Second time we had the Yunque Burger for dinner, they were tasty and the service was (relatively) fast and friendly. So we decided to come again for lunch today and it was pretty disastrous... we ordered 2 Yunque Chicken Sandwiches, and after waiting for 45min were told that they messed up / lost the order. The waitress was apologetic and after addtl. 15min we finally received the wrong Sandwiches (they were meant to contain avocado and plantain but didn't). Not a big deal but after waiting so long we hoped to get what we ordered. We told the waitress and she came back with avocado and plantains after another 10min. The worst surprise came in the end when it turned out that she actually charged us for those "extra items"... after letting us wait for more than an hr, I think the least one could expect it that they fix their messed up orders for free instead of charging the customer for it... so long story short - good food, but inconsistent service and potentially...

I would rate my first experience here a 4/5. However, the second time I visited here, I was quite surprised to learn that they could not sub their regular burgers with a veggie patty. I wanted a Yunque burger that had sweet plantain and avacado on it, and asked if I could substitute the meat patty for a veggie patty instead. Apparently they could not do that, but they could give me the veggie burger and add sweet plantain and avacado on the burger for an additional $2. Thus the same burger is $2 more expensive simply because it has a veggie patty 🤔. I'm not sure what the complication is with substituting a meat patty with a vegetable one; but adding insult to injury, my veggie patty and bun were burnt and my purple-potato fries were overly-fried potato crisps. Strangely enough my partner had the same burger I did, except mine was sans cheese, and yet his burger was $1 cheaper... Overall this was a hugely disappointing second, and now last, time dining here. P.s. Be weary of their salt and pepper shakers. Our table's salt shaker had rust all over the...

After a day at the rain forest we wanted a quick bite to eat. I googled this place and glad I did. It is located at the end of the street to the rain forest. The service was nice. I ordered the El Yunque chicken sandwich. The chicken was moist and the avocado and plantains was a good combination with the chicken. The fries are homemade sliced potatoes. Which is better than French fries. I loved the homemade garlic/ cilantro sauce. We also ordered the Moscow mule version which was very refreshing. The corn beef empanada was good if you like corn beef. The empanadas aren't meaty but a good portion of the filling. Small quaint restaurant with full bar and nice menu. The food may be cooked to order since it takes a while to get the food.

Coming back from El Yunce we stopped in. Easy parking, large parking lot with plenty of room. We ordered fish tacos, quesadillas, empanadas and some drinks. Drinks came first they were really good. A few people in there were drinking some gigantic drinks, so I asked the waitress what they were. They were mojitos, she recommended the guava one, so we got it. It was really good. The food came, I don't know maybe 20 minutes, it was pretty quick. The grouper tacos were very good, the chicken quesadillas were also really good. All in all good experience and would recommend them to anyone.

We were a group of 6. I had the El Yunque burger (see pic) with a tostones bun and it was delicious. We also had alcapurrias, fish and chips, chicken fingers, and veggie quesadilla (my kids didn't even notice the veggies!!). Everything was delicious. The lemonade is humongous (served in a quart size soup cup!), made completely fresh with white or brown sugar. Everyone loved the food. My only complaint was that service was super slow. This is common in PR, but always extra frustrating with hungry kids that just hiked El Yunque! I will definitely recommend it to friends.
