My husband and I lived at Post Park for 1.5 years. Pro: -dog friendly -updated dog park in phase I -sanitary & well maintained landscapes -maintenance was always kind & helpful -pool was well kept up with (one pool is way more busy and the other was relaxing so great balance) -walking distance to PNC -places to eat close by -food trucks (just recently started, they honest didn’t have many events within the 1 1/2 years we lived there) -Checking out was easy, everything was explained if there were charges, and any issues were resolved
Cons: -Had issues with our neighbors below when we first moved in and we have two huge dogs. We ultimately didn’t feel supported by the office as they had NO proof of their complaints as our dogs “always barked all day everyday” when my husband works from home 3/5 days a week… We bought a $200 recording camera to have proof. They moved out a few months later and low + behold never got a complaint since..
-Mail system is a MESS!! People are always missing packages. We’ve had packages stolen from our front door. Within holiday season we had our decor (present from my mom) stolen. So don’t recommend decorating your front door to make it homie.
-The gate is ALWAYS broken. They’ve replaced the up/down handle at least 10 times due to people breaking them. It’s a waste of money and doesn’t provide safety when it’s consistently broken.
-at one point they had issues with people bringing dogs/going to the pool too late.. instead of investigating or problem solving we were just threatened it would close for everyone
-as much as you pay for your dog deposit and monthly rent.. there’s poop EVERYWHERE. Especially when it gets cold. There will be a dog waste bin two feet away and people are just lazy.
-Office will close randomly and not always communicate leading into… Wade hall is ONLY opened when the office is which is pointless. It’s a nice hangout area but you can’t even use it a majority of the weekend since they’re closed..
-STEALING: we had a package and decor stolen from outside our door. Since we moved out it’s gotten worse as they’ve had multiple car break ins. Get a ring camera!
Overall, it’s one of the better complexes I’ve lived in but by far has the thinnest walls. Looking back, we wish we would have paid less for more space somewhere else. Especially with how we were treated when we initially moved in by our neighbors. If you know you will visit the city a lot, it’s 100% a great choice. We definitely didn’t go as much as expected.
It was interesting because later on we had problems with our neighbors next door (cops called twice for domestic disputes) and then two below us would lock out their dog for long periods of time leaving it to whine/scratch. Now, we are VERY reasonable especially after the complaints we had when we genuinely just have two big dogs and they couldn’t handle anything. But after being up over a hour in the middle of a work night because of barking/whining we made a complaint.
We NEVER heard back from the office. They were so quick to help others when it was against us though, threatening eviction if more complaints arose.
Also note that since it’s so close to NC state a lot do college students move here. It will get popping throughout the year with the games. Traffic will especially get backed up during the state fair. It didn’t really bother us, but if you are looking for a calm environment you won’t get it here. We enjoyed the high pace and being around younger people or...

I'm leaving three stars for a few reasons, number one is that everyone who lives here seems to be a freshman in college. Loud parties every weekend and don't ever expect to park anywhere near your apartment due to residents' friends taking up the spaces nearby.
Another issue is the garbage. Residents pay an $8 trash fee only for the dumpsters to be on the opposite side of the property, so the only way to throw out the trash is to transport it in your vehicle which can be very unsanitary and smelly.
Noise is often an issue - as I mentioned the parties previously - as well as from dogs. The walls are extremely thin, as well as the ceilings and floors. You can hear each neighbor around you very clearly, from walking on the floor above, or playing music from below, or dogs barking on either side.
Those are generally the negatives of Post Parkside at Wade, however there are some positives. The interior decor of the apartment is flawless, from the cabinetry to the granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. The colors blend very well with the large windows and nice natural lighting. Also their stacked washer and dryers are VERY NICE! I was skeptical about whether or not they would compare to the previous full-size washer and dryer I had been using, and they definitely do!
Another great factor is the price, which is significantly lower than all apartments in the Raleigh area - for the quality of the apartment in general. Everything looks beautiful as far as the interior goes, and for a similar style apartment in the Raleigh area, you can expect to pay $1200-$1500 per month. The prices here are much lower but of course they vary depending on the size and things like that.
Another thing that is a little nit-picky but might be worth mentioning is that there are no tv or internet packages/bundles when you sign a lease here. Everything is separate for you to do on your own. Which isn't horrible, but most apartment complexes offer this now. I'm actually not upset that I wasn't given this option because it saves money in the long run if you're okay with not having cable, but it's worth mentioning. However they do have a wonderful rep from AT&T U-Verse that will work with you to find the best speeds for the price as far as internet goes.
Overall I'd say Post needs to fix the parking issues - maybe require residents to use permits or stickers on their windshields and have a specific lot designated for guests. Also, they definitely need to either have a valet waste opportunity set up for residents to pay a little more for their trash to be picked up or eliminate the $8 trash...
Read moreFor those people writing that the complex is clean, I wonder what their thought process is because there is dog poop after every step everywhere there is grass. I love the fact that the complex is super dog friendly but then they have no rules or protocols in place for keeping the grounds clean neither do they stress the need for picking up after your dog. It's appalling that people feel the need to be reminded to do this, but it seems they need to be reminded. Maybe it's because the complex is full of young people who just left college, but it could also be that they are understaffed because I've only seen around three ground keepers since moving here. The complex is marketed as luxury living but it is not. The package delivery is a nightmare. I've posted photos to show you how the "package room" looks like. They leave the packages on the floor unnatended and there are no cameras in or outside the room and several people have complained about missing packages. Also, parking is terrible. There is nothing luxurious about getting home and not being able to pack Infront of your building because there so many cars with no parking permit. They say they tow cars parked in the wrong places but that's not true. For the amount of money you pay, you'll feel duped. The dog park in phase 2 is sad and depressing because it's small and covered with sand that traps the odor whenever the dogs pee. The amenities are wonderful and my apartment is super cute, but all that beauty ends as soon as you step outside to the rancid smell of dog poop everywhere. I am a dog lover and have one myself so it boggles my mind as to why anyone would have the audacity to casually watch their dog poop then just leave the poop there and walk by that spot everyday seeing their dog's poop and not pick it up. How in the world were you raised? I do plan on talking to management about a dog DNA program so people can get fined when their poop is found on the grounds. I can't believe I'm on a 14 month lease! Aaarrgh! I really played myself...
