This school needs new management, because it's obvious the only thing they care about is the money. They have those kids living in unsanitary conditions. On move in day, yesterday, they didn't have the rooms clean, infested with roaches, have mold in the rooms, no a/c in rooms, door knobs, and light fixture not in working conditions. It costs over $13,000 per semester to live on campus, but the students are living in poor conditions. I'm not going to get up here and lie like some, because right is right and wrong is wrong. The president of St. Augustine should be appalled and use some of that money to fix those dorms to make better living conditions. I wonder will he let his child(ren) lives like this. It's a shame when certain people want to take short cut when doing business. When you make complaint to the staff, they act as if it's a norm and it's not unhealthy. Mold will make you sick and kill people. How is that not unsanitary and unhealthy? That's why it have a low rating. For the ones that think it's a great school to live, all I can say we all have a right to our opinions. However, I go more off facts though when I give my opinion, and choose to be completely honest, don't do any sugarcoating. St. Augustine in Raleigh, NC on Oakmont Dr. is nasty and very unprofessional, training is most...
Read moreI visited the campus today & what I witnessed is what we dealt with and continue to fight for at NCCU...funding! I was hosted by the Head Football Coach Tim Chavous & Assistant Coach Jason Mai. They gave me a brief tour of a structure that is currently not in use but needs funds to be refurbished for their student athletes. They also spoke about wanting to bring in an accredited School of Nursing onto the campus in another building currently not in use! Coach Chavous said for the money it cost the students to attend the university every penny is used and still there is a deficit. He strongly believes that improvements to the football organization & adding a new school of nursing will help increase enrollment and sponsorship of the University. I agree & a witness that ideas set forth will indeed do that! I have pledge to help bring them some attention to get donations and sponsorship because we are all in this HBCU family together! Furthermore, I'm looking to see Senator Clinton & her family to send some support to St Augustine after she visited there this past Sunday to rally up voters for the current election! In Conclusion keep up the great work Coach Chavous and Coach Mai! It's always great to see the Staff directly involved in enhancing and campaigning...
Read moreI was coming to the Aug in 1994 and at the time Dr. Prezell R. Robinson was President and Dr. Wally Davis was over Academic Affairs. Dr. Davis told us that they did not have the finest things but what they did have was “LOVE”. He told us to look to our right and then to our left because you might be staring at your husband or wife. Dr. Davis told us we would not be a number a St. Aug they would know who we were and our parents and I found that to be. I became ill my freshman year and they supported me until I graduated but Dr. Sober staff did her best until I was assaulted my senior year. I do not hold any hard feelings towards St. Aug because they prepared me for LIFE!!! If you can make it out of a HBCU you can make it anywhere. I had the best professors from Dr. Gloria E. Payne, Dr. Lauren M. Jones, Dr. Godfrey, and Dr. Jerrie W. Brown. So I thank St. Aug for giving me wonderful mentors, friends and...
