I love this venue, just wish I lived closer! Had a great time seeing Arena there. The crowd was a little light but I feel that was because of covid and the delta variant s are people off. I'm not a big drinker but someone who bought me a drink said the prices were kind of high! I'm hoping tat the pri especially come down a little or at least have a price list so people know what they are spending! Maybe have some specials when bands are playing! I love that kids can come when accompanied by an adult. It a great way to introduce them to great music and maybe the will appreciate music, musicians, and all that goes into doing a gig! Maybe even become interested in playing an instrument themselves! Also love all the seating arrangements, all areas seem to have a good view of the stage. There are other venues in San Diego that let you purchase tables for anywhere from $75 to $150 but that money goes toward their bill. I think more people are willing to pay that money if it includes what they spend deducted from the charge. In most cases it's for 6 people and I know for a fact that people actually spend more but if they don't you're at least guaranteed the amount they agreed to pay. Just a suggestion. When it comes to a situation like this I don't want to spend that money for nothing when I could have a decent seat for the price of admission. Just sayin! And I do love the way the theater looks with the art deco designs, I'm glad you kept...
Read moreThis place is so unorganized. You call and those answering the phones are no help at all. They don't seem to know anything about how things are run there during a concert. We were told on the phone to get there by 6 p.m. to wait in line, if we wanted to get a table. We get there 2 hours early (5 p.m.) and after standing for over 2 hours, and watching groups of people after people being let in early without a ticket, to then be told there are no tables or seating available! So why stand two hours beforehand? 😯 seriously? Ugh! 😡 😠 No one on the phone said anything about getting in early if you eat at the restaurant? We told them that was what what wanted to do. But nothing was mentioned to us about doing that! And we found out we could order food and that was all screwed up too. But at least the food was good! 👍It was a very disappointing experience and we will not go back. And allowing people above the stage was sooooo annoying! 😠We're those two men the owners? Very...
Read moreFirst time, not a great experience. Our son went a couple weeks ago to a show and had a great time. Plenty of seating, and good crowd control. Last night at UB40, exact opposite. All the tables were reserved (with no details on the website on how to do that beforehand) and no seating other than the ADA. Standing was the only option. In the hall, about 400-500 people all standing for almost 2 hours before the show started. Then it wasn't even UB40, it was some flunky DJ playing beats, begging for shouts. We left before they even came on stage. Never going there again. Bad location, small overcrowded venue, little to no AC, overpriced watered down drinks, and i'm pretty sure was over the legally allowed capacity limit. I'm pretty sure UB40 had no clue when they showed up they were in a cow-poke bar in the backwoods of San Diego. MIght go see the REAL UB40 (Ali and Astro) later this month at PetCo. They are the voice. Anyone can play the songs, but Ali and Astro make the...
