My husband is in the Marine Corps. Whenever we have the chance to come home to see family we like to go out and watch a new movie. We have gone to this movie theater a few times before and we LOVE how it is new and updated. Everything inside is very nice, and the time before a guy recognized my jacket with a EGA symbol. He told us how they offer military discounts and he thanked us for our service. Last night we went with my father to see the movie "US." We walked in and went up to the ticket booth. A manager was standing there ( heavy set man, taller, with dark hair) and I told him how we would like a military discount. He was very rude and said " uhhhhh... we don't offer military discounts." I said " that is werid since last time I was here we got one and was told when we came back to ask for one." He got very defensive about it so we just walked over the get popcorn. I thought it was a good idea to ask the gentleman working there to see if they offer a military discount to see if the manager was lying to us. He then said he doesn't know then asked the manager we already talked to, but a lady working there turned over and said " Yes we do, it's a dollar off per ticket." I started to laugh. So to anybody that serves our country they DO in fact offer military discounts. I find it funny that the manager obviously doesn't know very much and felt embarrassed to ask an employee under him to find out. I hope someone higher up takes this seriously because we were disrespected by this manager for just wanting a military discount that we knew they had. It made him look like an idiot infront off all the employees that work there. Even places that do not offer military discounts still acknowledge us and are not rude about it. Please fix this issue, being rude to service men does not end very well and people feel very...
Read moreWhat a neat and rare find! So good I have to take time post flick on a Saturday night to share. First, this gem just happens on you in historic downtown Ravenna and a wave of nostalgia will send any millennial back in time. The parking was accommodating and the theater itself was very clean with comfortable temperatures and seating. The decor had me speechless!!- the feel of an old school movie going experience was awesome to share with my kiddos. The bathrooms were impeccable and inclusive. The concessions were reasonably priced and tasty; we purchased alongside our tickets which happens to be a confusing story. We received a “pass” after tech problems associated with a gift card/app situation. What would have been “only” 40 bucks (entry for 4 with drinks and popcorn) became $13 after their generosity. The young people employed were beyond helpful and courteous. Entertaining side note: my kids aren’t big “movie goers” since this sort of excursion is becoming more archaic, they were unaware that we couldn’t pause ghostbuster’s for a bathroom break. Attached is a photo of the kids because we needed proof or it didn’t happen according to the internet. 10/10, nice work...
Read moreYesterday, my girlfriend asked me to get her popcorn at this theater. Her plan was to eat it at home. Unfortunately, when I arrived, the doors were locked. Apparently, I had gotten there over 45 minutes after the last movie started. To provide some context, I'm pretty comfortable disappointing my girlfriend, and I do it roughly 2-3 times per week, (luckily she's kind of difficult herself, so we call it even). But, as I was walking back to my car, a crazy thought came over me and I decided to call the theater and beg for late night popcorn. About five seconds later, a miracle happened. A man (who is obviously a mix between Gandhi and Batman, but named "Justin") answered the phone, and in doing it rescued me from my tardiness. After unlocking the front door, he sold me the most perfectly buttered late night popcorn.
Not only did Justin sell me popcorn, but he made me a provider and a man in the eyes of my girlfriend for at least a day and a half...
He was no the hero I deserved, but the...
