Saint Anthony Greek Orthodox Church — Attraction in Reno

St Anthony's Greek festival is so good that we travel once a year to Reno from Sacramento just to attend the Greek festival.

If you enjoy Greek food and Greek festivals then I highly recommend the Reno Greek festival it's far better than the one held in Sacramento at the convention center.

Unlike the Sacramento Greek festival the Reno Greek festival food is fantastic and authentic, last time I went to the Sacramento Greek festival they were actually serving canned dolmades and charging a small fortune for them.

Don't get me wrong the Sacramento Greek festival was great at one time but it has become too commercialized I dropped $150 at the Sacramento Greek festival just feeding two people the same amount of food at Reno was probably $50 and of much higher quality..

Of course it's not quite the same as sitting down at your Greek-grandmother's dinner table, but how could it the food is difficult to prepare and best serve freshly prepared.

I'm Greek and can prepared just about every food they serve and I'm actually surprised that they can feed as many people as they do, the logistics must be...

Our first time visit....wow! Came the line 😳...no signage on what to do! This big guy yelling w/o a megaphone about the tickets...we bought our tickets online... figured out to go-to will call to get them ... Then we go to the entrance...went to the food line...waited🤔...little food...yes it's a fund raiser...it needs to be organized better with hundreds of people in line... I was expecting more craft booths...only 2...lines galore...we left left....I'll go to Nojos to get my Greek...

First visit to the Greek Festival. My initial impression was that it was more of a food fest than a Greek culture festival. That was great as far as I am concerned, as I love Greek cuisine.
