Holy lords of pizza, Reno you have yourself a king….. native to Buffalo NY for most of my life, moving to Reno 4 years ago proved to be a difficult choice as my heart was left empty from lack of hope trying to find a true Buffalo style pizza to take me back home in Reno! We were told about this place through a friend and they said it was the best pizza in Reno, so as any sane person from Buffalo would do, I made a reservation….. From the second you walk in the place is beautiful, they managed to pack the entire Queen City into that restaurant and I felt like I was sitting at a local pizza shop from back home. The culture and hospitality of those behind the counter was amazing and felt different even from what I’ve experienced in the last 4 years in Reno service wise! The Food: If I could say what I wanted to say here my comment would be banned, so I’ll keep it light. The second that garlic knot hit my taste buds my pants needed changing, holding strong knowing I had to continue through this glorious adventure I found myself stuck stuffing my face with them like the grinch at a Christmas feast. My tiny feeble, overstimulated brain didn’t even remember we had pizza coming! But I saved room. The best way to describe the pizza without being flagged here…… another entire pant change, you know when you think you are out of gas but round two comes flying in out of nowhere? This was that first bite of the pizza! Additionally I was enjoying all of this meal with a CANADIAN IMPORT brew I was stuck in a trance of pure dopamine! Even warmed up after this pizza could rival any pizza shop in Reno! Can’t wait to see the future for these guys! Anyone looking to experience some Buffalo NY style food needs to get in there, I promise you won’t want pizza from anywhere else in this city! Not going to lie, probably even coast!!! I cannot wait to come back and enjoy this amazing food again.

I first heard about this place a few years ago in an episode of the New Jersey Is The World podcast, in an interview with the owner of Secret Pizza in LA. He mentioned how good the pizza was, and the original owner was an NJ native like he was. I don't get to Reno much from AZ so when I was in town for a few days, I made a point to go. We got two large NY style pizzas, one with sausage, mushroom, and fresh basil, and one with pepperoni and mushroom. They both had excellent crust, crispy yet chewy, not too much cheese, and the pepperoni was natural casing so it cupped nicely. It was perfectly spicy and was pretty much a perfect pizza. We got some of their cannoli for dessert, and the shells were very crisp and seemed homemade. The filling was lightly sweet with a good hint of cinnamon. I'm sad I don't live in Reno because they would be my go-to pizza place! Definitely go if you're in town, you won't be disappointed.

I’m traveling from my hometown Las Vegas, NV where the standards for food are really high due to the tourism and let me tell you this pizza did not disappoint. I saw their ratings on yelp and when I clicked on their website, I noticed the new owner was a veteran as well. So I had to check it out. The pizza was well balanced. Nothing overpowered each other but instead complimented one another. You could taste the quality in the fresh toppings, savory sauce, oven-char crust, and of course the cheese. I ordered my custom pizza for takeout over the phone to take back to the hotel. When I arrived they had the pizza ready at the set time. The staff were very welcoming and warm. Great vibe and atmosphere. Next time I visit I’ll be dining in 🤙🏽

I was late to pick up an order. Owner didn’t explain they were closed at the time I came and pretty much insisted on me paying an extra $125 on a large $311 order for burning man friends. I wasn’t given chance to apologise until I interjected with shouting to shut the owner up for a second, as the owner verbally chastised me for several minutes on arrival. Sure I appreciate you were upset. But the person I spoke to on the phone didn’t make it sound at all like there was any issue with me coming later. Disgraceful way to speak to a customer. How rude. I will certainly not be returning and would suggest others do not unless you’re on their rigorous schedule

RESPONSE TO OWNER REPLY Your response is garbage. In the original email query I had said Thursday yes. On Wednesday I told you by email it was Friday, not Thursday. You didn’t “catch” my error. I also asked you VERY explicitly how much notice you’d need to make the pizzas and you said 25 minutes, so I said I’d call you Friday 25 minutes before I was due. At no point during that email exchange did you mention you closed at 1pm!!! So it was a total surprise on Friday when you emailed me at 1.30pm to ask if I was still coming! I called the shop and said unlikely for another 2 hours. And was told 3pm was ok but please don’t be later. At no point was I told any of this was an issue. Yes I turned up at 3.30-3.45. Delays happen. Had we understood the consequence of footing another $125 bill for something we were not made aware of we would have gone out of our way to be there earlier. It’s absolutely outrageous that you seek to blame us! And even after I paid the additional $125 without quibble you are here calling me a liar about some garbage about telephoning you the day before. A phone call that never took place nor did I suggest it did. I have a very clear email on Wednesday saying I’d speak to you Friday with 25 minutes notice. If anyone wants to see it they’re welcome to request it. How dare you call me a liar and speak about me like this. All I’m doing is giving a verbatim account of my experience of you. And you can keep your opinions about UK service to yourself. No one is interested in your bigotry. Sorry I paid the $125 frankly. In future, warn your customers of such consequences and of the times that you’re NOT OPEN! I only paid the $125 because I was embarrassed for your staff. I certainly didn’t need to. As far as I’m concerned it was your fault for not making things clear. Dreadful...

Best pizza. worst service, unfriendly owner or manager. went in three Saturdays over about 15 weeks apart. truly fell in love, was bragging to everyone I could about the pizza. first time the pie took 30 minutes, worth it! second time, 45 minute wait and out of one type of crust, ok no worries we get busy, you guys deserve it!!!(i came early for dinner, so it was not too off putting when you said you had to finish a big catering order) went in yesterday, figured best to call in sense you guys are so popular. kid on the phone was unfriendly to the point I almost did not complete my order. told them for the time to be ready, "asap is fine if at all possoble"(said it very friendly, even though the worker was being unfriendly). the worker told me it will be ready in 30 minutes! so I drove out excited from northwest Reno right after picking up stuff to make a salad! showed up about 15-19minutes after placing the order. to my suprise at dinner time 5:45 they again had such a big catering order they could not server anyone else quickly. I walked in and was told I was put down for an hour and change from when I originally placed my order. I was not given a sorry not even made to feel like my wasted time was even slightly as important as this exclusive elitist acting attitude of the big old guy with the beard(possibly the owner?) I will never be back. Maybe focus less on catering orders that cripple your ability to server walk inside and orders called in. maybe focus on pleasing customers and balance before taking outrageous catering orders every weekend... gladly would change my review to 5 star if I receive any decent form of customer service. guys??? How hard was it to seem slighly appologetic after I drove across town and now had salad in my car i needed...
