Skyway Library — Attraction in Renton

Beautiful library with a great location and friendly and welcoming staff. Great architecture and a WAY BETTER parking lot than the last location. It feels much safer as my son was almost hit by a fleeing car leaving A. drug deal gone wrong B. Drug deal gone incredibly well (and they couldn't wait to get home) This new location is within view of the police deptartment-ish office and a bunch of other businesses. This new library and the Grocery outlet has really elevated this community. I hope this draws in more residents that really care about community appearance and safety. Yay, King county for putting funds where they are really needed! Education and a free place for good kids...

I came here to get my library card turned on that I just recieved in the mail. I gave them my ID and checkbook for verification. Not only am I not able to use my library card, they system says they have no record of me at all. I wonder what they were doing with my personal information. I now have to be on the lookout for ID theft. Of course they are closed early and are not open until Tuesday! I am highly disappointed with the King County Library system. This is not the first time. They need to train their people better or hire some tech...

The new Skyway library is quite an upgrade. More space, more light and more resources. The meeting room is much bigger. The furniture and decor is modern. The kids area is bigger with riding toys and a sitting area for parents to enjoy books with their kids. The best part is the windows. Floor to ceiling windows brings in so much beautiful, natural light and there's an amazing view of Mount Rainier from the seating area right in front of the meeting room. The staff is very friendly...
